Panthers89
Well an ozzy, a pole and a brit qualify, what does that mean for the wildcards..... Alot depends on if one or two swedes qualify for top 8. I think.... Niels, Jonasson, Mjj and Hampel. Give kildermand a season to get his head straightened out regarding falling off needlessly! Don't particularly rate hampel on the excitement level but deserves another chance for sure.
customhouseregular
Hampel has finished on podium three of last five seasons. Been arguably best domestic performer in the world over that period. Dont see how you can argue that batch is more deserving of a wildcard. Form is temporary...Talent is permanent. On last night's evidence logic would say Emil, but it seems he has opted out and Grigory, but I understand there are problems there. Until a little while ago I would have said Kildemand for sure, but he may have blown his chances.

Still can't agree that MJj is more deserving than Killer & also hope Jonasson gets a chance as he's a talent & both Andreas & Freddie have had enough chances. His obvious class should ensure him a wildcard I feel.
salty
With an Aussie, a Brit and a Pole grabbing the 3 spots tonight, it certainly makes things interesting. Obviously things might change at the bottom 8 over the next two rounds, but I think you can ink in Greg, Tai, KK, Nicki, Matej and Holder. If the other two spots go to Lindgren and Batch that would leave us with.... 3 Aussies 2 Brits 2 Poles And 1 American, Slovenian, Dane and Swede. Puk is a shoo in which would make 2 Danes. I reckon THJ would get the nod to make 2 Swedes. Another Pole - probably Jarek, but it would help if he had a strong finish to the series. Another Dane - a toss up between PK and MJJ. Personally I think PK has been very impressive in his two wild card appearances and I would go for him. Can't see Ward getting picked if there already 3 Aussies in.

Dont see how you can argue that batch is more deserving of a wildcard. Can you please stop banging on about Hampel! He is just the dullest rider whether on the podiums or trailing around last . He depends too much on gating & rarely mixes it. I'd much rather see entertainers who raise their game in the GPs like Kildemand, MJJ, Zmarzlik or Jonasson or talented younger guys like the Pawlickis.
lucifer sam
Of course it depends on who finishes in the top 8, but I'd go for: 1. NKI 2. Zmarzlik (unless Hampel has two very good Grand Prix) 3. Kildemand or MJJ - still undecided on which 4. Emil... for goodness sake, someone have a good chat with him, he's too good not to be in the series. All the best Rob
pandorum
If they can see beyond the politics they need Emil and Greg Laguta in the series. Neils deserves to be there without doubt so if he is overhauled then a place should be his. Three Aussies already now so Ward can't possibly be given a wild card. They will have at least one Swede and possibly want two so there's one for Jonsson or maybe THJ. Zmarzlik deserves a shot. There are too many candidates and not enough places so it's going to be disputed whomever they pick. Three very substandard riders qualified but they won their places so nobody can argue they don't deserve to be there which leaves the 4 picks needing to be the BEST available which brings us back to Ward but having 4 Aussies will surely be unacceptable with so many other countries with candidates. I don't envy the pickers
mdmc82
Very tough decision this year for those in charge as to who should get the wildcard Looking at the standings, they are very close still with 2 rounds to go 6th Iversen (87) 7th Holder (80) 8th Batchelor (79) 9th Lindgren (78) 10th Ward (75) 11th AJ (74) 12th Bjerre (70) 13th Smolinski (70) 14th Hampel (66) Can see Lindgren or AJ over hauling Batchelor so that would cover the Swedish slot I would love to see Emil back in the GP but hasn't he said he's not ready to return? If he wanted to then he would be one of my wildcards, if not then I would go with: Iversen, Hampel, MJJ (unless Holder doesn't finish top 8 and then I would have him instead of MJJ) Hampel has been in the top 3 for last couple of years so can hold his own. Has had a lot of personal problems this year which has really affected his season but I am sure he will bounce back next year Edited September 21, 2014 by mdmc82
Gavan
Two wildcards are pretty much guaranteed which is NKI and Hampel A lot will depend on who gets in the top 8. If Batch or Holder fall out then Ward will get one. If no Swedes make the top 8 then it will be Jonsson or Jonasson that get a place. My own opinion is NKI, Hampel , Kildemand, Jonsson Ward needs a year out of it all in my opinion....................oh but hang on he puts bums on seats lol
PHILIPRISING
Does anyone know when they will announce The wildcards for next year SOON after the final GP in Torun Of course it depends on who finishes in the top 8, but I'd go for: 1. NKI 2. Zmarzlik (unless Hampel has two very good Grand Prix) 3. Kildemand or MJJ - still undecided on which 4. Emil... for goodness sake, someone have a good chat with him, he's too good not to be in the series. All the best Rob HAVE had a chat with Emil and tried my hardest but he (and his manager) still think he should decline an invitation and go through the 2015 rounds. Sad ... personally think he is a bigger loss than Ward. TOO soon for Zmarzlik in my view. If not Hampel (and I think he will get the nod) would go for Piotr Pawlicki if it is another Pole.

Can't see it happening as I reckon Holder will be in the top 8. Ward's only hope is if Batch fails. Surely they will want 2 Swedes and will be hoping either AJ or Lindgren get into the top 8. INCOGNITO
Presuming that Iversen falls out of the top 8 then you have Hancock Woffinden Pedersen Kasprzak Zagar Holder Batchelor Lindgren Doyle Harris Janowski IVERSEN has to get one but can't see Ward being available and Satfutdinov has already declined and Laguta turned down last year and don't think anythings changed So the last three in my opinion should be KILDEMAND then another Swede in JONASSON with the last place going to either Zmarzlik or Piotr Pawlicki from Poland being selected. JONASSON or JEPSEN JENSEN sorry
