waiheke1
Can't begrudge mjj his spot, though on form this season I think kildermand is unlucky. Both he and thj are potentially good enough to make top 8 next season, though in the case of the latter it is unlikely.
Red Panda
If a 2nd Swede was not required THJ would not be on the lips of any speedway fan as a wildcard. Lindgren said he did not want a pick he wanted to qualify as of right so why not THJ..........he has done well in GP's where he has been a wild card........... THJ is a good rider.........no question but there are no other Swedes who could compete at that level to be fair............ RP
customhouseregular
Very surprised to see Kildemand miss out. Very surprised to see Jonasson in. Odd game this speedway...politics trumps ability (must have a Swede). Can't really fault the other 3 though in the absence (needless) of Emil, though I may have picked Laguta over MJJ. Purely personal choice this.
f-s-p
SYSTEM changed before Daugavpils so nothing to do with Ward YOU'VE answered your own question So thats why they only needed to know top3 in Lonigo. Not top6 as the current rules state.

Kildemand is a far better rider than THJ but unfortunately he is the wrong nationality, its a bit of a joke

theknow 2
Good picks by BSI, Looks like 2015 is going to be a cracking year Would have liked PK in but always 2016 for him. Really pleased the powers to be have not given one to Ward as would of been unjust
norbold
With regard to Troy Batchelor getting a Wild Card, does anyone know the answer to the question I sort of asked earlier. How many times has the ninth placed GP rider NOT been given a Wild Card for the following year?

lucifer sam
Not a bad selection, but Kildemand is a far better rider than THJ. All the best Rob
waiheke1
On form this season, pk is ahead of all the wildcards except nki, but they were never going to give three wikdcards to the one country, and must have been a very close call to give mjj the spot over killer

pandorum
Line up hardly great but sadly it is probably the best we can get with who is available. With what's on offer Bomber may well surprise everyone and finish 2nd last

How many times has the ninth placed GP rider NOT been given a Wild Card for the following year? I'm afraid I don't know the definitive answer, trawling through the various wiki pages for each year of the GP would give you the answer I guess.I suspect the vast majority of 9th placed riders get a pick for the next season. It always irked me that a rider like Rune Holta had to get into the top 8 because he was always unlikely to get a nomination.
Crazy robin
What a joke that they've picked MJJ instead of Killer as the series has became stale & needed an exciting rider who has done much better than Jensen in his 2 slots this season. Obviously NKI was a cert & a Swede was always coming in & Batch deserved another chance after his late call up but Killer should've been in!!!!

He had just a few weeks to sort himself out for the gp season, has done reasonably well in most gp's and exceptional by scoring 20 in another, only bettered once this year by Hample with his 21 point max. I think he will do better next year. All those things add up to a positive to me. Edited October 15, 2014 by OveFundinFan
Maddas69
THJ will bring flavour to the series, and being the second Swede + merit in SWC and GP Challenger ++ being Swedish Champion +++ Lindgren wanting to qualify on merit makes him an obvious choice. Batch gets his nod on the grounds of the Melbourne round + almost winning in Denmark + being a nice guy and solving a problem for BSI when Gollob pulled out very late MJJ, I agree that Kildemand should have gotten this place based on excitement, current form (the best rider in Europe this season?) and also his age, he is older than MJJ NKI - obvious choice. But if I could dream a bit I would love to see Grigorij Laguta mix it with the best in an injury free season. He could potentionally fight for the top spot......and the series also lack Sayfutdinov and Ward unfortunately. All these three makes the line-up a tad less interesting than I hoped. Lagutas inclusion would also add another rider fighting for the "top bad boy" With Lindgren and NP :-) Edited October 15, 2014 by Maddas69
