nelliejim
Funny you mention KKS and `typical stevebrum comment` for a `new poster` to know so much. salty
What goes around comes around. Poole set the bench Mark 12 months ago One thing in common. At both meetings when the cameras honed in on the crucial dscussions about whether to carry on the unmistakeable features of Ronnie Russell loomed in the background. Given he was not the meeting steward, does anyone know why he is at every Sky meeting?

Sherborne Green
I for one was glad it was called off before any bad injuries. It means Poole get no points but that is of no importance compared with safety. Personally I don't blame Lakeside for wanting it off after 10 heats they wanted and needed the 3points. Reading some of the other posts on this forum I truly feel that some contributors only have one point of view and repeat the same stories time and time again. Middleo did not say he wanted to carry on after heat 10. He has his faults but so do every team manager at some time or other. They stick up for their own team which is nothing more than you would expect. People always dislike any kind of team that is successful and have more cash to splash than other teams. This is the same in all sports. However, if people want to keep repeating themselves so be it and if people want to dislike Any team nobody will change them. I openly admit that I used to go to Poole and always follow there progress but must say I prefer the racing at Somerset and Plymouth in the PL. Daniel Smith
Genuine question. Is speedway on a small low speed track that's wet actually any more dangerous. I'm serious, it's it. Think about it!!!!!
nelliejim
seriously some of you need to grow up the sport is on its arse but because Poole were on the end of it its amazing my team is sadly defunct but i like watching all teams and like to see racing but rider safety should be the most important thing
Buttons
Are you for real? It was quite clearly Lakeside who were on the fiddle here. How then they call it off like that just because they have 3 points? No wonder Lakeside get crowds of about 200 if this is how they treat them. I don't often get wound up by the sheer idiocy of how speedway is run but this was outrageous. The sport was brought into disrepute and nothing will be done about it. An absolute farce, how can you have a race result when for the last few heats the teams aren't racing !! British Speedway has long beeen on a downward spiral with idiotic rules, tracks that are not fit for racing (like tonight, after the downpour), and the BSPA are doing nothing about it, they sit in their ivory towers and make up stupid rules that don't work and have been for years, and our sport is now a total shambles..

Daniel Smith
they seem to come off more often But do riders get hurt more on a wet or dry track??? Especially at small tracks like Lakeside. I'm genuinely interested and asking for proof.
nw42
they seem to come off more often At lower speeds, hence less chance of injury, that track didn't seem really dangerous once they had rode a couple of heats after the downpour. It's a dangerous sport anyway, that's why we love it.
Wolfsbane
Neil Middleditch & Poole Speedway's 'win at all costs provided it's us' mentality stripped bear on national TV tonight. If Muddlo had said 'it worked for us at Belle Vue last season so we have to take the rough with the smooth' then folks would respect that. He didn't, so we won't.
