Tommy Sweetman
Havent seen any news on this one yet,but might as well go with R/R for Tai and give the others an extra ride. 50 - 40 to the home side regardless who fills in. Are we expecting another bumper crowd .

Lefty
Perhaps both teams could short change the fans and use rider/replacement? Then the meeting can drag on and we find out what the curfew time is at the Green!
stevebrum
No Tai or Doyle Schlein for Tai , no guest announced for Doyle. Its not looking like a £17 meeting to me.
P T Preece
Im a brummies supporter and at the moment Id pay £17 to watch national league racing at perry barr, use it or lose it, lets face it your season is going to be cut short as you wont make the play offs. I reckon you have maybe 3 to 4 meeting left at Monmore and then your done for the season and its a long winter without speedway when your season finishes in september. Get on down and support your team, Im hoping to get there myself as it will be my last meeting for a while, lets face it you have one of the best prepared tracks in the country, which 9 times out of ten means good racing. Get on down and support your team people.
billywamill
Well said bud - I'm a Cradley supporter and would love the opportunity to watch them at their own stadium at either Premiership or Elite. You never know what's around the corner - Speedway was nearly lost at Monmore back in the 90s until Mr Van Straaten persuaded the owners otherwise (thankfully) and with Coventry looking down the barrel in two years time, Wolves fans should appreciate that their team is still going and make the occasional sacrifice. mdmc82
http://www.wolverhamptonwolves.co/news.php?extend.2110 Backbone from the management at last! Typical of Piotr, we had the same with him at Coventry (think has a lot of pressure from Polish Club but then shouldn't ride in uk) Feel for Wolves fans, Had a lot of potential in their team the year but rider unreliability plus injures ruined it

magnificentseven
Hope the Pawlicki and Jepsen Jensen situations are a wake up call and the promotors take a hard line with foreigners who treat Britain with contempt over the winter. Time for a total rethink. Wolfie
stevebrum
Hugely disappointed to read this news this morning. All the hard work and brilliance now thrown back in all our faces. I believed he was a changed rider and up till the the last few weeks (starting with missing the Leicester away meeting) he had only missed the ones we expected him too. Just goes to prove that both previous sick notes were a joke as we all expected. Thanks for ruining what has been the highlight of my season in just a few weeks. Sick note Piotr, please don't come back. Well done to CVS and Horton (MJJ) for getting rid of perennial time wasters of the EL) Stay away in future.
Tommy Sweetman
The only saving grace is at least he's our asset when Poole inevitably come sniffing around. Trouble is, what if he comes up with the excuse"Mondays are just to much hassle, but wednesdays are fine" Wont be this season though, now the transfer deadline has closed. Being our asset makes no difference,if he wants to go,he will go.He knows he holds all the aces,as it does with all the riders.
Star Lady
Good to see Horton and CVS standing up to p!ss taking foreigners over the last few days. I applaud them too. However the crunch will come in 2015, will these p155 taking foreigners get a berth with a British club? I'd be delighted if they don't but fully expect they will and will be described as "fully committed "to whichever club signs them

Bagpuss
I think we are at a crossroads SL, we either need to adapt the EL to accommodate these types of riders is less meetings, fewer race nights, squads. Or we need to only employ riders who are 100% committed to the fixture list and won't ever go AWOL. Some tough decisions to be made in the winter. SCB
Edit.* Dont know if the transfer deadline applies if he is no longer under contract. Of course it does. This is exactly why it exists, to stop Poole for example signing a Wolves rider in time for the play-offs. As for MJJ being a "pi$$ taking foreigner" or showing no commitment. He is riding for his Swedish team that he has raced for all year, I believe he's been in their team for 4 season now. So actually, he's quite committed to them. He signed for Coventry mid-season, we can hardly expect him to put us first. Pawlicki on the other hand has had how many illnesses and now this? mdmc82
Edit.* Dont know if the transfer deadline applies if he is no longer under contract. yes applies otherwise whats to stop other teams getting rid of and replacing riders. It just now means that the BSPA have to now decide if they will grant a guest facility for Wolves or if it will be a 6point PL guest for him

Stop making excuses. We all know MJJ and any other excuser are committed to their Swedish /Polish teams. What is that to do with his commitment to the EL?? What MJJ has done is no different to Pawlicki. Piotr has used the well rehearsed `sick note` routine. MJJ just said i want to ride for my Swedish team but not you. Just what is the difference??? They both stand for precisely the same point. Does it really matter how many?? If MJJ had signed from the start he probably would be on the same amount of excuses by now. yes applies otherwise whats to stop other teams getting rid of and replacing riders. It just now means that the BSPA have to now decide if they will grant a guest facility for Wolves or if it will be a 6point PL guest for him Who cares, our season is over.
