Belle Vue V Coventry 1st September, 2014

Recommended Posts

Should be a win for the Bees. With Stefan Nielsen injured and Paul Starke, the only potential guest likely to score anything like Stefan, unavailable, Coventry's reserves will give them a double figure advantage. That will be too much for the 1-5 to overcome.

Zagar rode well tonight. But Zagar does have the trotts - will he travel to Manchester on Monday if he's not feeling too well?

Thought that was why Morton and the BV crew were there? To make sure he comes back with them?

Why call off the Lakeside meeting - just have guests for the Poole top 5 :D

Ford will manage to get the top 5 he had guesting today riding over here and compton and co over in poland

Belle Vue will win this. With Hansen so bad and Barker out. Could well be the three points we may miss out on.

Barker is planning to ride. If we can stop them scoring at reserve - and it's not impossible to 14-2 them if their guest is bad enough while Bomber and Hans are pretty good at Kirky Lane (they have both been BV #1 in recent times) and Howarth is an ex-BV colt (their NL team - along with Jason).

Don't forget it's only 8 days since we went and trounced Lakeside, we've not suddenly become a bad team, we had a bad day with a rider getting injured and a few others having their worst meeting for a long time. I'd prefer that bad meeting to have been today at Leicester that in the play-offs - where don't forget two teams will be without their number 1. I'm content right now, we just need to plod and we'll make the play-offs.

North isn't eligible anyway. Has to be a PL rider. Wouldn't use Allen at BV. Wouldnt use Kennett anywhere. Nick Morris looks about the only choice to me, and TBH, wouldn't be a bad choice either.

Thought it only had to be a PL rider if he was missing due to PL clash. thought as it was due to injury it could be EL?

Without checking I couldn't tell you that you're wrong but it doesn't ring a bell. TBH, it's only North and the two Lynn second string that I think it stops us using and as you've said, Norths not available anyway so not worth worrying about especially as Ben wants to be back sooner rather than later anyway.

The promotion we trying to get hold of North last night. Barker collerbone still not put back in so won't ride tonight.

I still think we can win this with our strong reserve pairing buy Sarjeant did concern me last night.
