Ipswich Witches V Sheffield Tigers Pl Sat 30-8-14 @ 7-30pm

Recommended Posts

I was going to let someone else start this one up as unfortunately I won't be in the country by this time tomorrow but with the wonders of modern technology I will at least be able to keep up with the scores .

Well it's the last meeting before the riding order reshuffle and after last nights win at Sheffield I can see no reason why we shouldn't win by a bigger margin , although I thought that when Glasgow came to town and look what happened .

I believe we would probably hit 60 with a full team but with no disrespect to Marc Owen 55 is a more realistic figure as he hasn't scored many at Foxhall when he's been before .

Here's hoping for a good win and everyone staying fit and healthy !

It should be a comfortable win, but with stead in the team, there should at least be some competitive racing. Maybe the real Worrall may make an appearance for this one, we certainly need him to start getting his act together if we are going to make a good go at the play offs

Have a good holiday John, see ya in a couple weeks

The points we lose with Adam missing will balance the fact that I dont expect Stead to be as dominant so I expect just a bit larger margin than Thursday.

Will go with 56-38.

As a Sheffield fan I would like you lot to have the meeting from hell ;-) only joking as your team rode very well at Sheffield. And well supported too.

Won't Leigh Lanham, Taylor Poole or Nico Covatti be an issue for ippo.

Hope we keep it respectable and a safe meeting for everyone.

The short and definite answer to that is NO...

Looking forward to another comfortable victory. I notice not much has been said about what the riding order will be when the new averages kick in, but as we've got 7 riders all scoring well, I suppose it doesn't matter where they ride. All about staying fit and not doing anything stupid for the next couple of weeks.

Good solid win for the Witches.

Decent meeting with plenty of commited racing.

Richie H getting a crap one out of his system ready for the play offs.

I would have said up by a couple of hundreds, plenty of new faces with children.

As for the meeting, comfortable win, but there was some good racing in most of the heats. Apart from Hawkins who had a stinker, the rest were pretty good. Special praise to Worrall who had one of his best meetings for a while, and i don't suppose anyone was expecting Owen to get a point, let alone 2.

he did look slow in a couple of heats but give me a rider looking slow and scoring 11 over one on a rocketship scoring 6 anyday!

He was a roadblock in a couple of heats, as I mentioned in my race analysis on the texts in was doing for the updates site. It was more his bike settings for those races than his obvious talent in would have thought, because in his second race he cleared off into the distance.
