Lord Lucan
Just checked on the BSPA website to see if this match is still actually on, seems no one is particularly interested in this fixture but I'll start a thread anyway? Comets are in desperate need of a nice pick me up after some pretty torrid performances lately and Plymouth is a track we normally go quite well at. Both teams should be fairly equal so I'm looking for a good even contest with Comets more than capable of at least smuggling a point out of the SBA!! Try for a 47-43 result or, hopefully better!! ancient mariner
It will be close either way. Thankfully the Devils have established some home form recently and although Ben Barker will not be riding, Stuart Robson is an excellent guest. So long as we have good racing and all 14 riders leave in one piece at the end of the evening, I'll be happy.
Penny Cross
I wonder what sort of impact it will have on Plymouth now that Ben Barker has signed for parent club Coventry? As Coventrys home night is generally Fridays, who will have priority on his services? Not sure about the revised pairings for this fixture. Newman and Jensen didn't ride well together earlier in the season. Id have gone for Jensen at 2, and Wright at 4. Also Newman at 5 with Franc at 3. Fozzie4388
Why didn't Lambert ride? yet he was fit enough to ride for Kent the other night?
jenga
Why didn't Lambert ride? yet he was fit enough to ride for Kent the other night? he had a comsultant appointmet .he had to be there as the consultant was going away for 4 weeks. (so i have read )cant see where we are goingto get the points from in our remaining fixtures. really bad team this year.
Lord Lucan
Followed this match a little bit on updates before I went to work, we seemed to be going along pretty nicely for a while, good even spread of points about the place then, just drifted too far away from the Devils in the latter stages to gain a point? Was still a possibility even with a Ht to go before the rain stepped in to arm wrestle a result but it would have been a big ask to get the 1-5 to achieve it? Certainly looked like an improved performance, of sorts, but still no cigar, we're plunging down the league at the moment so 6pts from tonight are vital, for credibility as much as anything else I mean, for goodness sake, we're better than this!! Penny Cross
Strange not to run Ht15. Even more strange for Worky to nominate Howarth over Campton. Very odd. The rain had stopped before HT14, and they even ran the usual childrens race after Ht14. Barker not fit for this meeting, but is available to ride 2 meetings in a day for Coventry on Sunday.... ancient mariner
It took some top quality riding from several of the Devils (plus Stuart Robson who was an admirable guest) to deny the Comets a return from this meeting. It is probably of little consolation to the comets supporters, but in my view this was an excellent meeting to which all 14 riders contributed in some way or another. Worth every penny of the entrance fee. Given the rotten forecast, for last evening the referee also helped by being very swift with the 2 minute waning, to which all riders responded quickly. Fair play to all involved.

Double up riders seem to be able to pick and choose if they want to ride or not,a7day rest for injuries or missing meetings because of injury needs to be applied.IMO
