Bandit59
Decent meeting last night, Redcar looked capable of getting a point right up to Ht15. Well lead by Summers, and backed up by Skidmore, sadly for the Bears they were much of a muchness after that. For Berwick Matej Kus was quite superb, gamble of a signing at the start of the season my eye, IMO he would be the first rider signed up for 2015. All the other riders contributed well to another 3pt home win and the push for the play-offs continues. Agreed what was up with Claus last night 5 races to make a start think he needs to up his game a notch at the start of the season he was practically unbeatable in his quest to get to number one think he needs to find that form again. Vissing was excellent at the start of the season, and made it clear he was after the No1 position, agreed that in the last week or two his performances have dropped off a bit, if he is looking at a bit of competition from his teammates for the No1 jacket then he has that now. Certainly come the play-offs we will need every rider hitting top form. On a side issue it was good to see Liam Carr out and about at the meeting last night, albeit on crutches.

Was absolutely delighted for Matej on Sat, as everyone knows on here had total faith in his ability from the beginning, contrary to what some say he has progressed steadily through the season. Although his rolling is 6,94, his real ave for season is over 8. On the downside track was not up to the standard it has been in previous weeks, especially the 1st and 2nd bends, this was confirmed by several riders

Kus`s progress this season has been a large reason for Berwick having such a decent season, those that thought contrary must have......issues. Jeez, you're hard to please. In his last three home meetings, Claus Vissing has scored two maximums.

With the problems Matty had from before last season started, problems with the track at Redcar, Matty lost all of his confidence and had a poor season, because of that, he was always going to end up at reserve this season. When Matty has confidence there's few better to watch. As a Bears fan, I was disappointed with the result on Saturday, but delighted by Matty's performance.

sidewinder
means nothing though as he is a Lakeside asset. I think you are missing the point. My reply was aimed at the previous poster, who was implying that Redcar knew, that Rich Lawson had signed for Lakeside before Redcar and also that the fixtures were known. Lawson signed for Redcar at the end of November / beginning of December 2013, long before the fixtures had come out. He became a Lakeside asset ( albeit dubious) at the end of February / beginning of March 2014. So it meant rather a lot then, but as the poster said this should never happen again. This is speedway, so undoubtedly it will.
