Vojens Gp 2014

Recommended Posts

Firstly - Congratulations to Tai Woofinden. What a tremendous display of courage and fortitude he showed tonight. Those very hard earned seven Points may well prove invaluable in his quest for another World Championship.

Secondly - I thought the Referee was right to exclude Nicki Pedersen. Just my opinion.

Finally - Well done Andreas Jonsson on winning the GP.

Greg vs Nicki again. The difference is the day Greg retires and someone says, "pick your favourite Greg Hancock memory" everyone is going to scratch their head for 10 minutes as there isn't one. Being passed by Bomber at Cardiff? Being fenced by Nicki in Prague on the straight? Drinking his body weight in Monster at every GP?

When Nicki retires there goign to be too many moment for us to pick one, we'll need to list a few of them. Nicki greatest memories, evokes emotion etc while Greg, well, he's a nice guy who can ride a motorcycle well.

All i will remember of Greg is what a great rider he has been, what a great ambassador we have for our sport but the main thing will be that he always had time for the fans. Edited by sidney

........................ and who is PROFESSIONAL, can treat Winning and Losing with equanimity, who can SMILE in adversity and who KNOWS the true meaning of SPORTSMANSHIP. Most of these qualities are sadly lacking in certain Riders. (No names, no pack drill).

Greg Hancock is a true Gentleman.

you mean you base an opinion on snippets of tv.... Not saying you're wrong, but how do you know you're right??

I believe I am a reasonable judge of Character. Greg Hancock always impresses me with his attitude to the Sport and to the Supporters.

So the guy who walked out in Oxford in 2005 and left them without a number 1 for the play-offs - on the day of the play-offs. You call that professional? You call that a great ambassador for the sport? You call that having time for the fans?

What about the guy who quit Reading mid-season in 2007?

No - I have spoken to Nicki too - and you are right, he is a great bloke to speak to. :):t:

However - if I had to be Racing either Greg or Nicki on a Speedway Track - I know which one I would pick. ;):)

sure I can recall you posting fondly of a few hard men from yesteryear ( maybe Sunderland??) what's the difference if so??

Riders do have disputes with Clubs you know.

but still think of the fans of course :)

I wouldn't have gone on a Speedway Track to race Jack Millen either. The 'Villains' are part of Speedway, it will always have them. Nicki is no better and no worse than any other so called Villain that I can think of.

I wouldn't lay bricks with mick the brick either, but that doesn't mean he's a bad person etc etc :)

*yawn* at all these Hancock love-ins. Great rider without question, but is he a great racer? I think there is a difference, and for me Pedersen is a racer. Give me a Pedersen over a Hancock every time.

they all say Hancock because he is one of only a handful to come across squeaky clean... Notice they don't compare him to any other of the many speedway riders out there, they use Hancock because he's probably the only one they can think of :)

Most champions/winners are ruthless end of.
