Main Man
COVENTRY Storm now face two big days of action as they look to secure their place in the National League play-offs.The City Gearboxes Storm are back in action at Brandon on Friday for a double-header against Buxton and Devon (7pm start).Six points from those meetings would go a long way towards securing a top four spot, but should more be required then Sunday September 7 will provide two more opportunities! The Storm were always due to visit Buxton on that afternoon at 3pm, but one of their outstanding meetings against Stoke has now been re-arranged for 7pm – so the Storm will race at Buxton before making the trip from the Hi-Edge Raceway to Loomer Road for their second match of the day. There is no re-arranged date as yet for the trip to Devon, with several of the other play-off contenders also awaiting a date to visit the St Boniface Arena. Blackbird
According to article in last week's Star, Plymouth have said they'll be no more Devon home matches until AFTER the Devils have finished their PL matches, which means - if this is to be the case, and planning restrictions make it basically certain to be so - that none of Coventry Storm, Stoke, Mildenhall and King's Lynn Young Stars will get to ride at Devon before the Sept 14th. deadline for play off qualification.... Blackbird
Is this fixture at Stoke on Sunday definitely on then? It does not figure on the BSPA site's list of fixtures and - presumably as a result of that - isn't listed in this week's Star either as a fixture for this Sunday? With no active Stoke website difficult to establish from Stoke if it's on..?!

Main Man
COVENTRY Storm’s National League play-off place is safe after Cradley’s win at King’s Lynn on Wednesday. The City Gearboxes Storm are currently second in the table on 31 points with three matches remaining, two of which take place on Sunday when they visit Buxton and Stoke.Their trip to Devon will not take place before the cut-off, but that is also the case for fellow contenders Mildenhall, Stoke and King’s Lynn.Stoke can only reach 29 points by winning their home matches against King’s Lynn and Coventry, and although Kent and Mildenhall could go ahead of the Storm they would do so by taking further points off King’s Lynn, who therefore would be unable to themselves add sufficiently to their current 22-point total. As league leaders, Cradley will have first choice of semi-final opponents, and the Storm are the only team to have beaten the Heathens so far this season. Blackbird
Thanks. I hope someone at Stoke tells the BSPA then to get it on the fixtures listing otherwise they might struggle for a crowd!
Ommer Mon
Hope plenty of Bees / Storm fans make the trip to Buxton and Stoke. The Heathens did both in one day and it was a good day out.

TesarRacing
Coventry Storm Fundraiser. I have had tremendous entertainment from these lads this season so will be putting my hand in my pocket on Monday: http://www.coventrybees.co/news.php?extend.2946
mdmc82
Same here. Have loved watching them and with more teams joining the NL next year, it could be even better
oleoleole
Fundraising all very well but how much do they need? What happens if the amount donated falls short of the desired level and they don't run the Storm next year. Do we get our money back? (Didn't think so!) What happens if the amount donated falls short of the desired level and they don't run the Storm next year. Do we get our money back? (Didn't think so!) One would assume it will be one of a few initiatives. A whipround wont pay for a whole season next year

Daniel Smith
With the news of planning permission of a new housing estate on Brandon Stadium going ahead I think Coventry fans would be wise to keep their money in their pockets personally. Why? If it transpires that there will only be 2 more seasons at Brandon, I for one would hope there would be EL and NL racing for those 2 years!
