Gorzow Gp-30th August 2014

Recommended Posts

GREAT performance by Zmarzlik, very mature, confident but let's not forget that this was on his home track. Might be too soon to throw him into the 2015 series but surely his time will come.

Update on Greg just before midnight here in Gorzow: not as bad as first feared. Just been told he has broken one finger and dislocated another. Looking at the TV replays his hand and arm were sucked into the rear wheel of Iversen's bike. Could have caused serious damage. Hope he brides in Vojens to maintain his 100 per cent record but it has thrown Woffinden a lifeline.

Proof if ever it was needed that the rear tyre huggers are a waste of time. With the old rear guard, although the hand would have gone in it still would have been easier for Hancock to get his hand out. He had to be very forceful to remove his arm.

Any chance on getting some answer on this???

What a Load of. Crap. Bring. Gp to.sheffield watch simon stead beat gp stars on his own track

Nobody is slagging him off... just taking the mickey out of KKS.

It's gone beyond that. And if thats what it is it's even more pathetic as this way he gets bites. ignore him and hopefully one day he'll bog off.

Thing is, he is right about MJJ though, he is a class act.

I think KingKennethSpeed is right about a lot of things, just very clever on how to get under people's skins which I find funny to be honest.

Judging by the TV replays he is very lucky it looked really nasty.Think Iversen going over the handlebars pulled his cut out out sharpish because his back wheel stopped quickly when it sucked in Gregs arm.Speedy recovery to both of them.

Some brilliant racing tonight, the first two laps of heat 6 were fantastic. Great final, and he seems such a lovely lad the way he hugged his bike at the end.Great TV, although as always spoiled by Pearson going OTT from Hancock getting hurt to his screaming at the end again.

Pearson was like a gibbon on speed especially for the final,

Agreed totally. His main ability behind the microphone when things get a bit exciting is to make perfect monkey noises rather than actually COMMENTATE, which is what he is supposed to be doing and is travelling the world and making a good living out of doing. Continually spoils the racing be it Elite League or Grand Prix with his amateurish and pathetic "noises".

Notice also that "TheReturns" post has now "disappeared"....I hope it hasn't been deleted by the "powers that be" under instructions from motor mouth himself or his agent!!? Truth hurts sometimes eh?

Amazing atmosphere in stadium especially for the Goezow riders with Zmarzlik the most popular.

Some excellent racing but lots of near crashes caused by rearing before unfortunately NKI & Greg crash. Get well soon to both

Think should judge Zmarzlik performances away from Goezow before suggest he shou get a wildcard but was excellent last night

Zmarzlik, Vaculik, MJJ and then it'll depend if they want a 2nd Aussie with them having a GP in Aus - so Troy who is going to fnishing 9th or 10th will get one.

Puk should hold on as it would require 2 of Holder, Lindgren, Batch and Smoli to score 20+ over the 3 rounds and they just don't look like doing it. But if Batch and Holder did do it, Puk could have that wildcard.

Mind you, I have no allowed a Swede, probably Vaculik who'll lose out.

i don't get where you getting the wild cards from. Ward I would imagine will get one if not banned and drops out the top 8. Batchelor or Lindgren look like they will get in on merit. After all the chances they have given Lindgren Harris and Jonsson then maybe they will give Jarek another chance. I can see the 4 wildcards being Ward Hampel MJJ and maybe Zmarlik. Lets face it they have history for putting in the same riders year after year. Hampel has been up there for many years so probably deserves 1 wild card year

I don't get the "hate" of MJJ on here. The guy has scored 31 in 3 GPs, made 2 semis and a final. He's averaging just over 10 a GP which would put him on 93 over 9 rounds and put him in the mix with Tai, Nicki, KK, Puk and Matej. Mock all you like the the guy is a class act and you all look pathetic for slagging him off.

He is very good on the World stage, league speedway he is average. I do hope he gets a pick next year.

If they don't finish in the top eight then the likes of Jonnson, Lindgren & Hampel shouldn't get picks IMO, would prefer to see some fresh faces....THJ & Berntzon if Swedes are required and there are a glut of young Poles. Bjerre should be in the same category if he doesn't get through the challenge.

MJJ should be a shoe in, he's a class act.

Agree on most of them but think Hampel deserves a wildcard as this is the first bad season he has had. Usually in top 3 and is capable of winning GPs.

All depends who finishes in the top 8 (or out of it) and in the top 3 at Lonigo. With 5 other Danes going to tapes in Italy it's very possible that MJJ will find it hard to get a pick as they might be looking at other nationalities for their 4 choices.

IF they don't qualify through challenge, 4 picks have to be:

Zmarzlik, Mikkel Bech, Piotr Pawlicki and MJJ.

Unless they qualify by right there will not be 4 Danes in the series next with only 1 GP in Denmark.Jepsen Jenson should have had a pick this year but missed out do to 3 Danes being in the series already.Ward(if able)and Iversen are certs, followed by 1 Swede as Lingren will probably qualify due to injuries, plus AN other which will depend on how many Danes and Poles have qualified from the challenge or maybe Sayfudinov (if interested) or Smolinski if they plan to stage a German GP.The wildcards have always been dictated on a quota system not on ability so MJJ,Bech,Pawlicki's,Zmarzlik may have to wait.

What a talent that young guy is..

Better than Ward.IMO

Wishing Niels & Greg a speedy recovery.

Just to add some balance, although Zmarzlik's performance was good,it was on his own track with a severely depleted field. It reminded me of Janus Kolodziej who was fantastic at Leszno, his home track but when he got into the series made little impression. Edited by New Science

Thank goodness for Tai or there would be no Brits in it next year. Until Chris Harris can get to the first bend less than a bike's length behind the others he is wasting his time and punters getting 3 man races. If he finds a hole off the second bend he can move but really there are other riders who would make the GP more interesting. Sad but true IMHO.

Nigel and Kelvin are good commentators...Lay Off!
