Sophies Mate
Why is it we get such conflicting 'confirmed' news in speedway! Just a few posts back we have Nigel Pearson 'confirming. a broken arm on twitter and now we have Peter Adams 'confirming' broken hand and not arm. Why do people post before they know the facts! Yes, it may give then 5 mins of Glory for being first with the news but they look like idiots when they turn out to be wrong! As for the crash it was quite a strange one. As far as I was concerned, watch from the home straight, Tai had got the lead and was going to win the race. he did not seem out of control, he didnt seem to lift or anything. 9 times out of 10 he would have scraped along the fence and knowing Tai, would have wound it on and kept the lead but suddenly he was through the fence. It was one of those when you coud hear the whole stadium take an intake of breath and then breath out when he got up and breath in again when he collapsed back on the track in pain. Fully agree some people love to be first with their version of so called facts, I was on duty last night at Arlington and had so many people say oh hes broken his arm in several places or such like that was even before he had even reached the hospital! ! With Tai being in so much pain and not being able to pin point exactly where the pain was it was extremely difficult to diagnose exactly what the damage was without x rays. On a lighter note have to say was impressed with Gino last night some great riding from him!
sussex bulldog
It certainly looked horrific from the Grandstand. Tai was in a lot of pain and I wish him a speedy recovery.

It was indeed very strange. I was stood on the crown of the first and second bends. From where I was Tai looked to exit the bend and just kept on accelerating - no shutting off , he didn't try to swerve away from the fence at all and didn't appear to hit a rough patch of track. The only explanation I could think of was that maybe his throttle had stuck open or there had been some other form of mechanical failure. Thank goodness his injuries are not as bad as they might have been from such a high speed impact. Wolfie Fully agree some people love to be first with their version of so called facts, I was on duty last night at Arlington and had so many people say oh hes broken his arm in several places or such like that was even before he had even reached the hospital! ! With Tai being in so much pain and not being able to pin point exactly where the pain was it was extremely difficult to diagnose exactly what the damage was without x rays. While at the meeting I received a text through from someone who had been watching the match on the Bet 365 feed. He texted to say that Peter Adams had been interviewed and had told Bet 365 that they thought Tai had injured both of his forearms and one of his wrists - thankfully the injuries are not as bad as that - but Peter Adams would seem to be a pretty reliable source of information from where the potential broken arm injury began. stevec
Where did I say you had mentioned a broken arm? You may need to re read the post. I said that pearson hadnt confirmed anything, which he hadn't. Point taken but if you read through the posts, especially post 31 you will see what I mean. it says 'Nigel Pearsen confirmed it on twitter; This was posted after the post saying he has broken arm etc So. yes I may have missed your post but I stand by my point. There were rumours of what he had done at Arlington before the Ambulance had left the stadium!

Steve c - my post wasn't in respobse to you, it was to mcdc2 who said pearson had "confirmed it" on twitter when he hadnt - I agree with the gist of what you said. Antway, hope its not ss serious as thought , and tai csn continue to defend his crown.
