Somerset Cases Rebels V Ipswitch Witches. 22 /8/ 14

Recommended Posts

I really can't believe this. Yet another top meeting at the OTA this Friday and nobody has started a Thread.
Friday see's the Rebels take on 3rd place Ipswitch Witches in another cracking top of the Table encounter.
This is the second of four meetings in just over a week. The Rebels again do need all three points and put in a professional performance tomorrow night to keep the presure on Edinburgh, I still believe, if the Rebels can take this, and get 6 points off Peterbourgh then it will give Edinburgh something to worry about, they need to keep winning, who will crack first ?

Despite our recent good form I dont expect even a point for the Witches.

Anything less than a 16 point loss would be a decent effort.

If we pull off a win I think I will start a count!!

Perry riding for Lakeside in Adam's place apparently.

Says on Somerset web site that Ben Hopwood is in for Ellis. Hopwood will score three zero's, so the closeness of the score may depend on Heaps taking 5 rides at reserve. Ellis injured.

I rather think that Brian Messengers unbeaten since taking over as manager stint will come to an abrupt end tonight.

Personally I can see nothing but a comfortable home win as the Witches hate the Somerset track as much as they hate Foxhall.

I will have to concede to the Bald wise ones comments and go for a 20+ margin home win.

Why do you put the home team sponsor in the topic title and not the away sides? Either do both, or none at all. Disrespectful to your guests, especially when you spell their name wrong too

Disappointing but not totally unexpected.

Ultimately a result that makes no difference to how the seasons honours will be shared out but the Witches will need find a way to do better away at the top sides if they have any hope of lifting the big prize.

Hopefully Allen and Kurtz are OK.

It's not unexpected, which is why I never waste my money watching Ipswich at Somerset.

Well I was looking forward to a battle tonight but was very disappointed. RW poor as per usual, RH rapidly ran out of steam, MR flashes of brilliance, GM the pick of the Witches, RT still not cutting it, CH leaving it late to wake up but still poor and BH out of his depth. If the Rebels do as well at Foxhall as the Witches did tonight at the OTA then I feel sorry they can't give you a decent meeting.

Despite the loss of Olly early on it was the usual outstanding performance across the board from the boys. A special mention for Todd in 13 who did great to get through to join Nick up front only to blow Brady's engine.

Hope Brady and Olly are okay but it didn't sound promising for Brady arm wise.
