foreverblue
It's up to so-called professionals like Ward to take the lead and not do it in the first place. Where have I heard that before?Thats rubbish professionals will do whatever they can to help their team win and if that means staying down then that is what they will do, if they always awarded the race in those circumstances they wouldn't do it. You could say the same about any instance where a rider tries to gain an advantange, if they were was nothing to gain they wouldn't do it. I think that this where the referee should make a decision, "Did the rider deliberately stay down & make no attempt to get up?". If so, award the race, provided 2 laps have been completed. I know that this might be controversial but these things should be in the referee's opinion, that's what they are there for. The same with when a rider moves at the start gate & gets left behind, let the race go & forget the red light. Don't give the cheats a second chance. I am not referring to any one rider or team here, treat them all the same.

Try to dress it up as professionalism if it helps to justify it, but it's still cheating and still abhorrent.

mandy7162
I think Leicester lion just dislikes Ward/Poole Pirates. We've all seen riders fall down and stay down
FRANK THE FALCON
Ward seems particularly adept at it, as he did to Wolves last season. Once a cheating scumbag, always a cheating scumbag! so you're telling me that leciester riders our squeaky clean and they have never done this or will not do this in the future wake up man this goes on on a regular basis. I think it should be allowed to awarded of any lap if it's done on purpose . it amazes me that riders who's team is on the end of a five one don't take a dive more often to be fair .
Leicester Lion
so you're telling me that leciester riders our squeaky clean and they have never done this or will not do this in the future wake up man this goes on on a regular basis. I didn't say anything of the sort and you know it. All cheating is reprehensible, whichever team or rider does it. Ward's antics are the subject of discussion here. And no I am not a Poole or darcy ward fan I just think it's bit off that you can call one rider a cheating scum bag oh and by the way Mr Doyle done the same at the county ground against Exeter in his Isle of Wight days so our you going to call him a cheating scum bag
Long Eye
Riders will always stay down if they think it will benefit their team. Or if they pick up a minor injury like Ward did Saturday.....
