Peter Dol
September 7 Live Stream E.C. Final sidecars, Grasbaan en Speedway is invited by the 500cc sidecar association to live broadcast their event on the Internet The organizer of the E.C. Final sidecars sees this as an opportunity for their club, their sport and the Event to bring it under attention of a wide audiance. Of course we are honored by this invitation and see it as a challenge. Meanwhile, the KNMV signed up as a sponsor for this live stream, of course, we are very grateful to the KNMV here. It is a good start and we hope that more organizations or companies following this initiative of the KNMV for sponsoring The goal is to Broadcast free, which has the advantage that it attracts more viewers than a paid stream. Broadcast free The European Championship semi-final specials seniors that is emitted by us as a test attracted 12,000 visitors, Beautiful but the downside of this is that many more viewers hours consumed which automatically means higher costs. With commentary off: Jacob Alkema well known speaker is willing to provide the stream of commentary The cost of a free live stream of four hours for this event are estimated at € 2500, -. This sounds a lot but it's not 12,000 viewers x 4 hours = 48,000 hours The price per viewer hour is € 0.05 per viewer hour € 0.20 for a broadcast of four hours. I hear you say leave all viewers pay € 0.50 then the costs are payed, and you deserve also some. Brilliant idea, but only the transaction amounts are more then € 0.20 This excludes travel costs and man hours. The travel amounts +/- € 500, - Overnight 2 persons € 220, - Unforeseen € 150,- Totaal € 870, - Total cost € 3370, - must come from other sources than sponsoring at least the half of it. WE NEED YOUR HELP Without the help of Grasstrack fans we will not be able to deploy this initiative, several fans contact us and ask whether the live stream continues. Some even want to spontaneously donate an amount to the broadcast. A paid live stream is an option, but we do not want to choose for this option The reason is that too much remains the go, from every ticket sold 21% VAT must be worn off, transaction costs per ticket for Mollie Ideal € 0.99 per transaction. This means that there are € 0.87 and € 0.99 to VAT on transaction costs disappears. So in total € 1.86 on a ticket of € 5, -. Moreover, there should be from every ticket sold to be made a bill cost € 0.64 excl. Shipping. This means that 50% of the tickets sold actual yield. To keep the same net revenue need to be soled the double number of tickets, a waste of money and waste of time to be there. Are you a Grasstrack supporter, and not able to come to High Easter (UK), but you want to follow live the EC sidecars final help us with a donation off € 5, - off course higher amounts are always welcome.
