Edinburgh V Berwick (pl) 22/8/14 @ 7.30pm

Recommended Posts

Just like Berwick gate and go counted at least 9 or 10 FTG even Cookie could not pass Steen

atleast 5/6 of those FTG's were monarchs gating & the bandits not even looking like giving passing a go, preferring to fight each other for 3rd.

Still not a great track for passing tonight.

In the situation where him sitting in second place would have won his team the meeting, he chose to attempt a pass that he was never going to complete! He carried far to much speed into the corner. No need whatsoever. But never mind, we won anyway.

Irrespective of wether you think there was no need or not he is representing his team and giving it his all and secondly from a personal level point's make money.

Not one of the better meetings but what do you expect when the away team are that bad. wee bit of handbags in the pits as well during the meeting was probably the highlight.

To be fair to Jensen he rode a good line and had some speed as well.

Wash your mouth out how dare you say the trick track is gate and go there are at least 70 - 80 passes per heat well that is what they would have you believe.

Slightly disappointed we didnt hit 60 but hey ho got the win. Bandits appeared at points Jensen was very impressive in his 2 wins, good gates and fast. Doolan appeared for a great win over Cook. Showed his experience when Cook dived in on bend 3 but kept his cool and cut back on 4 to win it. Kus and Edberg also got among points without looking too threatening. Vissing (surprisingly) and Bellego (not surprisingly) very poor.

Worrall/Fricke unbeaten in their 3 races together and looked fast when infront. Sedgy solid as ever. Sneddon should have scored more but his gating seems to have deserted him tonight (I always though of him as very good gater but slow rider). Little disappointed with Cook but dont think he made a gate all night, seen him practising after the meeting.

Stand out man was Masters really got the hang of the Dale now, very smooth and fast.

There were a few nasty looking crashes over the evening but lucky everyone walked away. Bit like Berwick with loads of FTG but as its a small track racing can look better/closer with less spacing out.

IF we get choice of teams for the play-offs can see us picking Berwick in our group. Should add some fans to both gates and we are capable of getting at least a point a theirs. Nice to have a local rival this season :P

PMSL that has to be the winner of the smuggest post off this season in-fact i will go better than that off all season's belter.

I thought it was a bit cheeky of the bandits to challenge it since it was their rider's over zealous riding that caused the injury!

Glad Kus and Jensen got up from their crash, looked a nasty one.

Can't believe you're defending your team manager attempting to cheat

Nothing wrong with being Smug (I admit I am when my team are doing well, in any sport) just have high standards at Home against a team that, by the admission of their own fans, are dreadful round the Dale. Glasgow had a rather impressive win tonight aswel why not try some Smugness out you might like it :t:

Perfectly prepared track, with the promotion doing a very good job: programme, presentation, facilities, and a strong team.

However, it still remains the case that you can't put tinsel on a turd and call it turkey.

Bit unkind to refer to the visiting Bandits in these terms :P

We are more restraint and like to treat our opponents with respect well most off our opponents :D .

I could pick out one good race.

The rest was just like pushbike racing.

The shape of the track is the only thing I can see that causes the problems.

Compare it to another wee track like Redcar, Edinburgh just lacks a big bit of fizz.

Don't know if there is an answer?

CRAP!!!!

there is a pass every bend of every race at the dale you know.

I must've fell asleep and missed em. Best thing about tonight was the smokey sausage & curry chips. Can't believe how cold it was for August. I was in full winter coat and wooly hat.

The only Pass i have seen at Armadale was when there was young Lad's about your age playing Football they were around 8 or 9 on the grass verge on what is now the first bend it was a beautiful 20 yard pass for one so young.
