oldtimer
Enjoyed last weeks encounter against Monarchs and was going to this, but now read that this match is just another example, from those who run speedway, continuing to show no respect for their customers. (not Somerset's fault) Roland Benko absent for European Pairs, Tom Perry replacing him, Kyle Newman exciting rider and knows his way around Oak Tree absent as riding in the Elite League, three of his programmed rides will have to be taken by Devils reserves. Plymouth have visited Oak Tree twice this year and haven't had a full team yet. July 25th National league Dan Hallsey at number 2 and 18th April Barker missing for Elite duties. I can only hope some common sense prevails at the next AGM that will rekindle my enthusiasm for the sport.
Starman2006
Jeez i really can't believe the lack of interest from you Rebels fans. Rebels have 4 meetings in just over a week, and if you can get 12 points from those meetings then you will give Edinburgh something to worry about for top spot !! Know exactly what you mean, was planning on going to this but no point with 2 Devils missing, Newman was great last time around too!

Just can't understand why the Promoters can't see whats infront of their faces, fans will not spend their hard earned money to follow their team with half of them missing, and then they go on to complain their gates are down
andypoll
Another good win at Home for the Rebels. Well done Charles Wright scoring 11 points .
Halifaxtiger
I thought it was a decent meeting with the Devils doing much better than I expected. Kurtz was the rider who impressed me - again. Always good to see the boys from Plymouth. Haven't laughed that much in a long time
EnglishRoundabout
Yes this meeting would have been more attractive with Kyle Newman in it, but the Devils still put up a decent fight. Barker, Simota and latterly Jensen gave the Plymouth fans something to cheer about. Once again heat 15 was an incredible race with the lead and minor places changing hands. Four abreast going into turn 3 lap one. Barker was very hard on young Brady but he still kept coming back for more. Fantastic race. The "coming together' after the race had finished proved a talking point and Barker retuned to being the pantomime villain for not the first time in his career! Whilst it is disappointing not to see full teams, the standard of racing at the OTA remains exceptional.

Agreed about Kurtz. In the latter stages of the meeting with all the dirt out wide he really generated a scary amount of speed. Excellent to watch Edited August 21, 2014 by ancient mariner
