Swindon V King's Lynn (21/08/14)

Recommended Posts

think Rory needs to reduce his guesting and focus mainly on King's lynn as apart from last race he hasn't been on the pace. hoping that changes now.

meeting very close

are hans and north okay?

Think Swindon got a get out of jail free tonight with NKI being off form. kings lynn off form but still kept it close

Must be Hans spreading the super lovely team spirit from Coventry!! We had none before tonight after all.

How shockingly bad was Iversen ? I know a few has mentioned his busy schedule , and Woofy's , but i'm not buying it. When you jump on a bike , the adrenalin takes over. I'm thinking more that their best bikes are elsewhere in Europe where the money is better. It would hardly the first time riders have reorganised their equipment to where the real money is.

DON'T agree ... just look into Tai or Niels's eyes. They are knackered. And never go along with this 'not having their best equipment' argument. Riders don't deliberately have bad bikes in one country or another. At any given time one may not perform as well as another but generally it is the rider not the machine.

I agree with Baggy. They didn't look like potential champions last week, and didn't look like potential champions this week either.

Although a quick analyse at the scores shows it would've been very close with a normal Iversen score, and perhaps there are mitigating circumstances for his low score, eg illness, bike issues, bad hair day, etc.

Seemed to perform okay last night though.

Another superb home performance from Roscos Rampant Rockin Ones tonight..tremendous stuff from North Dakota, and good all-round team display, Hansi will be wanting to return next year at this rate! Swindon surging towards the play-offs..KL current form must be a concern for their fans, with so few heat wins. Poole must be favs for title now.

Couldn't make it to the Shabbey tonight was there reasonable crowd?

Agree..was talking to Peter the Killers' sponsor, he said his falls at Swindon were due to his fatigue and punishing schedule and not poor equipment.

Robins full value for the victory. Some good racing and some excellent passes in the early heats from Batch and Morris.

North is absolute mustard at the moment and is rapidly becoming a favourite of mine. He is proving an excellent signing and showed he is a thinking man's rider too by trying to take out a play off rival. Try harder next time son. :P

PUK struggled, again, as did Schlein and KL were never going to challenge without those 2 firing. I hope Lynn pick up the pace over the next few weeks. They have been so dominant that it would be a shame to see them limp in to the play offs, and besides, they need to do us a favour tomorrow.

Very good meeting ,the stars are always good value ...Never wanted North but he really has proved me wrong and he's gone from a poor Pl second string to El heat leader .

For the first time tonight I really felt Swindon could make a run for the title thou we don't match up very well v Poole . For the Stars Puk tryed really hard but could just not make a gate Rory was poor along with kerr but Lambert and Rose looked really looked good . You can in see in Lambert that he getting better and better in each meeting .

I think Lewis' two nasty falls are catching up with him, don't believe his shoulder is anywhere near right and the finger has only made things worse. The wave he was riding on the crest of at the start of the season has long gone, let's hope he can find some form again quickly.
