waco
Ben Morley takes his place in the Kent Kings team against Buxton,,with Danny Halsey standing in for him in the Lakeside team at Belle Vue , Doubt if Simon Lambert is back on monday but think his return will be quite soon .Should be pretty straight forward for the KIings,,the expected showers may be a bigger problem .Looking forward to seeing Danny Ayers continue his rapid improvement and big points are possible against this Buxton outfit..... whistlegang
Plenty of interest from TWG. More playoff points coming our way and I can see Mr Ayres getting a maximum tonight. Weather has just turned semi-dodgy but i'm sure we'll get a meeting tonight. #blow your whistle

Kent Whistle Gang
Lots of interest in this meeting ? Lost interest in the meeting? No. The absence of input here has got more to do with losing interest in this forum. That's mostly down to contributions like yours AJ - they're boring, repetitive, and predictable. Yawn.

whistlegang
Lots of interest in this meeting ? I used to think you were OK. Your hatred towards the management has for some reason made you want to wind up Kent fans. Do yourself a favour: Get behind the club/riders or support another team! BuxtonTiger
Another great win for the Kings and another great opportunity to use the number eight without effecting the result not taken. The future of British Speedway is not looking good with promotions like Kent's. Give youth a chance or kill the sport.
waco
Good all round performance from the Kings And a spirited display from Buxton who had the quickest rider on show in Liam Carr ,17 points in cluding a 6 point tactical ride , We dont use Adam Sheperd as he is not up to the standard required,,,failed to even make the start line for the second week running for his second half rides says everything ,,Buxton fans probably think we should use him to improve their score .. Kent scorers Ben Morley 15 from 6, Benji Compton 12 from 6 (Failed to make the startline ex in one ) David Mason 9+3 from 5 Arron Basby 8 +3 from 5 Danny Ayers 7+1 from 5 ( continues his improvement despite a slow start to the meeting ) Jason Garrad 6+1 from 4 (had his moments,, still locks up a lot ,, will improve.. ) ..crowd similar to last week but there are plenty of clubs in this league would like this level of support from such enthusiastic fans Dont forget the start is 3pm next mon,, bank holiday
Kent Whistle Gang
Oh just because I have a different opinion its boring ? And your opinion is the only one that is interesting and correct ? Put me on ignore then ? Okay I'll humour you. Please tell us all what opinion you are defending on this occasion? Would it be "Lots of interest in this meeting ? :D", because that doesn't sound like an opinion to me. That sounds to me very much like you doing what you do best; being a wind up merchant. All I posted was that there was no replys to Wacos post in a light hearted way. Then Blackbird comes on with his usual dig. End of. Just pause for a moment and ponder why that might be the case. It's because you're always sniping at the promotion and the supporters (for daring to attend a track you've vowed never to return to). In the words of Reggie Kray, "You've got nothing to say and you're saying it too loudly". All in all you come across as a bitter and twisted malcontent. I don't claim that my opinions are the only ones that are interesting and correct, but they are opinions. Putting you on ignore would indeed block most of your snide contributions. However, if you object so much to people having a go back at you why don't you just either stop posting, or be less of a pillock?

The future of British Speedway is not looking good with promotions like Kent's. Give youth a chance or kill the sport. We have given youth a chance, and when the right youngster comes along i'm sure the management will try and fit him in. The way the averages are going we will have no choice next season. Kingston would still be in the team had it not been for his employers saying they could not continue to release him on Monday nights. We still have Freemantle on the books but nobody has a clue about when/if he will return to the side after suffering concussion at the start of the season. As for 'the future of British Speedway not looking good with promotions like Kent'? Surely they should be applauded for sticking their neck out and getting a club off the ground in Kent - especially when clubs are folding?

waco
Can not believe only Whistle gang ,Buxton Tiger and myself have actually discussed last nights match ,,All opinions are valid in debates, but dont get involved in personal matters,, you are better off to just ignore posts that you dont agree with, and just post your opinion on the subject matter being discussed.. In this case the match between Kent and Buxton. So come on guys if you were at the match last night what did you think, we want to hear what you have to say ?
whistlegang
Well i'm pleased Morley is now hitting some form. Carr did beat him 3 times last night and I can't help thinking that last seasons Morley would have done better against him. Last season he had this knack of getting in front and just about staying there. Will this be his last season for us and his last in the NL? I can see him finishing with quite an expensive average. Baseby again looked like more than you could ask for a number 2. His average is also creeping up. Who was it who said that his average (at the time of signing) was 4.5ish for a reason?! Mason was again solid. Surely this is his best season (at home) for many a year. Ironically, it might be his undoing. With currently at least a 7.54 average, can we fit him in next season? Will he bow out on a high? Compton is flying now - so pleased for him. How are we going to fit all these riders back in next season? One thing i hadn't contemplated was that in having teams like Scunthorpe, and pushing for the playoff's, our averages will go through the roof! And Lambert still to come back. Hopefully this weekend for the Stoke and Buxton away meetings. As for the reserves? Does anybody try harder than Danny Ayres? Boy do the crowd love him. Garrad can certainly gate, but his control on the bends (particulary bends 3/4) let him down. I shut my eyes for the first time ever in a speedway meeting during heat 7. Maybe this is our season. If Morley can find just one more gear, If Baseby and Compton can hold their form, If Mason can pick up a few more points away from home, If Danny and Jason are at their best and with Lambert to pick up from where he left off. Just maybe we can get to the final...

The only blot on last night's landscape for Kings was the preparedness and stability of some of the riders. Good solid performances from the top 4 again, and only over exuberance preventing both Jason Garrad and Danny Ayres from returning double figure scores too. Have to say though, Liam Carr was the star of the show by some distance. Wonder how he would have fared against a fit Simon Lambert? I think that wraps up our home league fixtures and the win lifted us into 2nd place in the table. #Nosebleed. It's looking like that 4th play-off spot will be between Kent, Stoke and King's Lynn. Interestingly, we've still got to visit both of them in the league, so any points we can take off them (and hoping we can bag all 4 at Buxton) will be crucial.
greyhoundp
I have always followed Kents fortunes, and great to see you up there in 2nd place, its still in your own hands to an extent, just to let you know KL have still got to ride against Cradley home and away, so that must put your hopes up, Stoke we have done the double, so cant help you there.
