theknow 2
Could his attempts to get off, in fact now cause him to have a longer ban for wasting there time and incurring extra legal costs ? Should of took it on the chin back then !!!!
1 valve
According this article, Darcy have signed a new contract with his Swedish team and the team manager for that teams says that Darcy's lawyers expects Darcy to get a 6-8 month ban. http://mvt.se/sport/speedway/piraterna-nara-ett-dromlag-10338238.aspx If true, Then he wil have served the ban by the time March comes around...In fact he wil be able to ride in australia as they will take into account "time served" since first being suspended. TheReturn
Far too small a ban for the offence if this is the case. I am not so much worried about the ban length provided the rider accepts their mistake and shows some level of remorse at potential risk to colleagues. In this case, I am yet to see anything from Ward along those lines.

iris123
Sports doping has just been made a criminal offence in germany with a maximum 3 year jail sentence, but doctors and coaches who are involved could get up to 10 years. Will more countries follow? Jacques
Have you seen him face-to-face since Latvia then??! Nonsense! Why does someone need to see him face to face, to see what remorse is shown? He's had ample opportunity to do that publicly. I've seen nothing from Ward or his camp that suggests anything like that, in fact quite the opposite Edited November 12, 2014 by Jacques

Many on here just make it up as they go along. They think they know, but they don't. They just try and make themselves look good. People arn't stupid. Darcy showed plenty of remorse last night. So as far as you lot are concerned you can think pretend you know or all surmise all you like. you know nothing.

What about the "remorse" he showed when caught and he said, "next time I'll hydrate more in the morning". So not, "I'm never drinking the day before a meeting" but next time I'll try and cheat the system despite being drunk. The guy is a muppet. That said, making him wait until January and an as yet undecided date is really not fair. He should have a date by now and it should not be 4-5 months after the alleged offence. Quite a few riders have a drink the night before an evening meeting - even NKI alluded to that (and a lot worse) - in an interview he gave back in august, so lets not single out Ward for that!! . Clearly having a whole day to re-hydrate is more than enough for most riders, but not if the meeting is rearranged for the afternoon when the testing is done earlier. Just to add to his comments last night, as Starman says, Darcy did show remorse last night and was very contrite when interviewed and was very good with loads of the fans afterwards. Also he didn't appear to have been drinking, but that is just a personal observation.

Think you mean 'Clearly having a whole day to re-hydrate is more than enough for all riders, except one when the meeting is rearranged for the afternoon when the testing is done earlier, ' given that other riders and meeting officials all passed the test
Starman2006
Go on then, give us a clue. What did he say? He didn't need to say anything, it was written all over his face. Now like SCB said, but not in as many words, the FIM are taking the proverbial. So you like many on here get off the lads back. IMO he's well learn't his lesson, but im sure if he was able to ride next season in the GP series and won it, fair and square im very sure you would be first in line to praise him.... like many on here not.
