Darcy Ward's FIM hearing confirmed for November. He's had FIM correspondence advising this.

He will have the knee operation sooner rather than later now!! :t:

At least there`s an end in sight, when are the GP Wild Cards announced, if it was going to be soon after the end of the Torun GP in a couple of weeks, will BSI delay any announcement until after the Ward hearing.

In Bestie's day they were all on the booze, Moore, Greavsie..Arsenal had the"Tuesday Club", and Liverpool ruled europe at football and drinking...not to mention Man Utd with Robson,Whiteside and McGrath.....but they weren't riding motorbikes under the influence..I like Darcy as a Rider but he needs to grow up or He'll "P1ss" away a fantastic career.....100 BLOODY PAGES.

100 BLOODY PAGES.

Why do you use the forum?.. you don't seem to like the fact people express opinions, unless they are in line with your own.

100 pages shows people care (mainly about the sport and their clubs than Ward).

NO ... goes before FIM disciplinary board but WADA can still intervene if they disapprove of the decision

Back in for 2015 then ;)

Assuming he is not banned then I think commercially I think they have to add Ward back and give him a wildcard. Sports wise it would be nice to see the best in the world racing, which includes Ward. Ethically it is wrong to give him a wildcard after he CHOSE to press self-destruct.

If as I suspect they give him a wildcard, I would like to see it be with the stipulation he will be tested at all GP weekend's and any further infringements will result in long ban from all speedway.

ALL hypothetical at the moment. If, for example, Ward gets six months, backdated to when his suspension starts, he could conceivable get a wild card but his chances would be greatly reduced if Batchelor and Holder both finish in the top eight. Four Aussies in the series? Unlikely, Ward could be the wild card Down Under with a view to getting back in 2016.

Would you give him a Wild Card after this latest episode even if found not guilty due to a tech issue ? Think BSI will have egg all over their face if they do.

Lesson needs to be learned here and he will just laugh in peoples faces if let off and back in for 2015.

Doyle qualifying for next years series hasn't done Wards claims to a wild card pick much good, and IMO next years wild cards picks could be the hardest ever to pick. NKI will get one, the other three are up for argument.

You're right there, Screm, there certainly will be plenty of argument. People will be arguing on this Forum whoever is selected.

Yes, everything here is hypothetical at the moment.

But is the idea of Ward getting a series wildcard for 2015 really on the table, at all? No matter who else is in the frame.

Last year the wild cards for 2014 were announced at the end of October 2013; and Ward isn't even due to have his hearing until November this year.

Even if he gets off completely scot-free it will all be too late, won't it?

Or are the timings being changed for this year?

Even allowing for some contrivance where the wildcard selection was delayed until after his hearing it is surely inconceivable that he would be selected if found guilty, isn't it?

If we take your scenario of a six month ban being imposed. Of course it would start from the day he was suspended which means he is actually banned from all motorcycling worldwide until the end of February 2015. Is it really feasible that he could be considered by BSI and the wild card 'committee' for selection; or have that sanctioned by the FIM in the immediate aftermath of that ban being announced, by the FIM themselves?

Surely not.

Surely a way will be found to get him in.

Totally wrong, of course, but I feel certain that Ward will be in the 2015 GP Series.
