The White Knight
I know but I don't follow Ward, only looked at his profile today. But should a professional being saying it about another professional? It occurs to me that those two words don't really belong together. Just an opinion though. rob tatum
Very interesting reading the various comments about ward. I regard ward as a supremely talented rider with a wonderful natural talent he is fantastic to watch as were loram ,gollob ,collins etc etc. It just appears to me that the BOY has no brain ,his childish comments on social media really show him & our sport in an awful light. He must have an agent or advisor so why oh why didn't he send out a full apology to fans ,sponsors etc instead of dragging our sport through the gutter. Ward may be talented but he lacks class & natural ability in all walks of life is never enough to achieve all you should. Ward should just look at woffinden & see how it should be done. weatherwatcher
There is no way on this earth that makes humanly possible that he can walk away from this with no ban. If he does then there have been an awful lot of very heavy and strong strings pulled by someone. Maybe it should read ropes. Give him enough and one day he is going to hang himself, with all the stuppid things he does. He needs to settle down and really listen to someone, but I bet he has had that many people telling him that he now closes his ears to it and just carries on being the stupid moron he is. A big shame because he has so much talent and he is letting it go to waste.

Fromafar
So you do not wish too watch the best riders in the world then ?He is only one of many, will soon be forgotten if he is not around.Speedway doesn't need the publicity he brings to the sport.
YerRopes
Speedway's George Best. Don't compare the two WK George Best liked a drink or two, but was no trouble.. He didn't have the kindergarten attitude of Darcy nor the issues and problems that Darcy seems to continually involve himself in.. Only one of the two will be remembered as a 'great' and for his contribution to sport...
waiheke1
Don't compare the two WK George Best liked a drink or two, but was no trouble.. .. Not entirely true. Darcy has never just failed to turn up for a match as george did. George also beat his wife (after his career finished), so hardly "no trouble."Agree that george is an all time great, darcy no where near that ststus yet, but I think the comparison - wasted talent- is valid.

I was a great fan of George he for me is in the top three players of all time with Pele/ Cruyff, in a group anyway Di Stefano, Maradona( cheat and to himself), Zidane, Moore,Beckenbaur, (ect) Ward has made mistakes but not terminal ones it is up to him really a great rider does he want it? i think so and he will prove it in the years to come.. He has no regrets about this latest incident as per his others and if he did what i hear after being tested then the bloke is an idiot. So what did he do ??? OveFundinFan
Its the same basically in any sport - if you want to be a top professional you really have got to be dedicated and VERY professional about it all - eating habits, strict keep fit, watching entertainment habits, not late partying etc. OK some get away with less of some aspects but generally speaking it will be tough to get to and stay at the top - never been there so know personal experience.

Macavity
Is this a temperance society? Who hasn't been to work a bit hungover? Nobody knows how far over the limit he was, let alone what the limit is! Why pick on Middlo? He's a great manager for standing by his man and a great man for standing by his friend! He was wrong yes and in case you hadn't noticed is already serving his time but why not wait until the truth comes out before hanging him?
