Hopefully yes because if he gets a pick it will mean he is only banned for the off season. Therefore he actually get away almost scot free and the authorities are almost condoning drinking and turning up over the limit. If his ban finishes before the GP Challenge in 2015 maybe he could get a wild card for that, tho personally I don't think he should.

Surely, if Ward gets a ban that would exclude him from the start of Australian qualifiers, leaving only a wild card pick as Wards only option for next years SGP. Personally I wouldn't give Ward a wild card for next years GPs no matter how long his ban is , also if he wants in , in 2016 he should have to try and qualify like the rest of the riders .I don't care if he or any other rider puts bums in seats , if you break the rules you get punished .

No way should he get a wild card. ........He's already stuck two fingers up at them this year, he does not deserve one! Surely they wouldn't even consider it would they?

WARD hasn't actually been banned yet of course... It can only be hoped for the well being of this forum that Ward receives some sort of ban. Jacques
So how has Ward stuck two fingers up to BSI. Surely they wouldn't even consider it would they? Now that Jason Doyle has qualified through the GP Challenge it is highly unlikely that he would l get a wildcard anyway. Even if Chris Holder falls out the top eight he, as a former World Champion, would be preferred.

mothorsen
"Is it right that we get caught up in the off track antics that many sportsmen and sportswomen suffer from? Frankly, I hope he is allowed to ride again, with immediate effect!" Off track antics?! I couldn't care less about his off track antics as long as he doesn't drag them with him to a meeting. Getting caught at a meeting with alcohol in his blood is not off track antics. It's not his personality on trial, it's the effect of his actions. No rider is above the law. Mothersen, i hear what you are saying. Now im a Poole fan, as everybody knows, and i like Darcy as a person and a rider, but i do feel he needs to be punished in some shape or form otherwise he will never learn. When you get to his level in your choosen sport, you tow the line do things by the book and work hard to be the best you can, you only get one chance, one life. I to want to see him ride again, and for Poole. But he needs to take a long hard look at himself in the mirror. There's a time and a place for everything. His priority must be his Speedway, first and formost. Edited September 24, 2014 by Starman2006
