Jacques
He didn't eat enough... He didn't hydrate enough... Which one is it Darcy.? Oh yeh, you went out got pissed and got caught! Simple as that!
moxey63
Stefan Danno failed a alcohol test prior to the final GP of the 2000 season and was subsequently banned for eight months. Darcy Ward just never seems to realise what he has at his feet and is a mini-me of Michael Lee, a bit self destructive when on the fringes of real greatness. Personally I don't take to these younger riders with so much potential. They tend to treat speedway as a bit of fun and would rather have a good time off track than put all energy into the sport. There are many riders still racing who put the sport first and foremost. Greg Hancock is one, and you can all call Nicki Pedersen... but these guys don't let outside influences interfere with their day jobs.
screm
Wards is a fantastic rider, and could go on to be World Champ. However so far in his career he has made just as many headlines off track than on.
Popular Post TheReturn
His team manager at Poole, Neil Middleditch, politely declined to comment on the matter in detail. However, Middleditch told the Daily Echo: "I do not condone Darcy's actions but ......" Middlo is clueless. There is no 'But..', if he has had a few drinks then Ward should not be on a motorbike on road or off road and certainly not racing. It goes back to what I said earlier, too many people make excuses for Ward every time, and that is why this behaviour continues.
Popular Post pandorum
Emil Sayfutdinov got some rather bad family news during a GP series. Tai Woffinden spent a whole GP series with bad family news hanging over him. Never saw these lads fail a breathalyser. Ward is an idiot and deserves all he gets whatever the reasons. Life is hard and sh#t happens all the time to all of us. Character is something you build from life's pitfalls and hurdles. Tai and Emil have character Darcy is an arce. Kick his butt out of the GP and teach him a lesson. Might do him some good as he is a superb speedway rider.
Popular Post Arson fire
Update: Source: bournemouthecho.co.uk The 22-year-old is due to attend a jury meeting following this afternoon's event in Riga at which he will give his version of events. Based on that meeting, a decision will then be made on what punishment, if any, will be handed out. A suspension and/or fine are possible penalties that Ward could face. His team manager at Poole, Neil Middleditch, politely declined to comment on the matter in detail. However, Middleditch told the Daily Echo: "I do not condone Darcy's actions but there are some mitigating circumstances which will come to light." There's a starrrrmaaaan waiting to reply

chucks
If he was in a resturant and had a couple of drinks last night like he says then I'd expect him not to be over the limit this afternoon. I'd say he was probably out till early hrs of Sunday if it's true that torun are fed up with his partying this year must have been some size of meal he had.methinks could have been a desperate dan cow pie
SCB
People on Facebook and twitter saying he'll learn from it. No other top rider had had to get pissed the night before a GP to learn from it!
Popular Post Debbi
We all get bad news it's how you deal with it. Tai had a really tough time losing his dad but wasn't caught under the influence. Emil went to Bydgoszcz knowing he may never get to see his father again (sadly proved to be correct) did he turn up to the gp over the limit - no he used it to fire him up and win the gp! Enough excuses Darcy, is a grown up and sadly makes the wrong decisions regularly. If I was a sponsor I would be pi$$ed at him being in the press yet again for the wrong reasons!

keyham
Through out life you have to make difficult decisions. Sometimes those decisions are made easy with what the results will be. Me with all the medication I have to take means no booze, has been for years. Oh I could take some but only one outcome and that would kind of upset my family, same with cigarettes, my choice. He had a choice last night knowing the outcome if caught out, no matter what the excuses are. He made the WRONG choice. Now he has to face the music. No one made him do it...
stevebrum
No he won't, he thinks he can do what the hell he likes and not face any consequences! He will be treated lightly no doubt and will do something similar within 12 months. He never learns. TOO many chance already.
whippy
why take to drink automatically because of 'upsetting news'!! many people in everyday life hear upsetting news but do not use it as an excuse to take to alcolhol !!! He new he would be racing so no excuse !!!! Edited August 17, 2014 by whippy
Agrotron
No he won't, he thinks he can do what the hell he likes and not face any consequences! Yes and that is where the problem lies
E I Addio
Middleditch should be nowhere near speedway - christ knows what else goes on in their little circle. Devil Worship, child sacrifice, voodoo, witchcraft, sorcery, poisoning neighbourhood cats and stealing old ladies handbags according to what I have heard.. Oh , and cheating at speedway.
SteveLyric2
why take to drink automatically because of 'upsetting news'!! many people in everyday life hear upsetting news but do not use it as an excuse to take to alcolhol !!! He new he would be racing so no excuse !!!! Not strictly true! Many people in everyday life DO take to alcohol and many go on to ride/drive motor vehicles, putting themselves and other road users at risk!! And when they are caught, they are punished as Darcy should be!!
SteveLyric2
People on Facebook and twitter saying he'll learn from it. No other top rider had had to get pissed the night before a GP to learn from it! I wouldn't put money on it!!! Maybe 'random' testing should become compulsory testing before ever GP - it might explain some riders' unexpected performances!! Incidentally, Ward didn't look or sound at all 'hungover' in his TV interview, so was probably not 'pissed' as you put it! (and I'm not excusing it!!)
