Guest
I like this comment on Darcy Ward as seen on the SGB website: - WARD STARS AT MONMORE TUESDAY AUGUST 11, 2015 A REVIEW of Monday's action from DARCY Ward broke the Wolverhampton track record and scored a paid maximum as Swindon collected another four-point haul at Monmore Green to move into the Elite League’s top four. The Robins, who had won by twelve points in the Black Country a fortnight ago, collected a 52-38 victory on this occasion for their third away win in their last four matches on the road.Ward took two-tenths of a second off Tai Woffinden’s record in Heat 1 and then completed his maximum by passing Freddie Lindgren in Heat 15, and he received good backing from guest Chris Harris (11) and skipper Troy Batchelor (10), whilst Wolves reserve Lewis Blackbird scored 10+1 after colleague Josh Bates had been ruled out with shoulder damage from a Heat 2 crash.Swindon boss Alun Rossiter said: “It was an excellent performance, everyone did their job. Darcy and Troy were superb, Zengi (Grzegorz Zengota) did a great job again and Chris proved an excellent choice of guest.“It was a strong performance all the way through, we led for almost the whole meeting and came away with four big points, so it was a really good night for us to keep us on track for the play-offs.”Wolves promoter Chris Van Straaten said: “The entertainment was first class, there was some great racing for the neutral supporter, but the result was dreadful it has to be said.“I won’t accept that the effort and spirit wasn’t there because it was, they rode their socks off tonight, but they just aren’t good enough and that showed against a very strong Swindon side.” It is good to see Darcy perform so well, since his comeback.. Apart from Poole away, he has been rattling up the points for the Robins and even broke the Wolverhampton track record yesterday I would put a lot of that down to the professional approach to the sport that exists at Swindon under Rosco Darcy 'the boy' is turning into Darcy 'the man' under Rosco and Darcy should bear that in mind when considering his future I'll endorse this comment. Ozrik
Great to see him come back and mean it. BE fantastic if he got wildcard to Aussie GP. Move Dak North to 1 res.
fullbore
This GP series is not the best, so i feel it needs Ward, Emil, Laguta, Pawlicki (Jnr) Would that be the Laguta who's so wonderful he only lies 9th in the SEC? Niamh Apart from Poole away, he has been rattling up the points for the Robins I wonder why he performed so badly on a track he knows better than most? Rob VDS
I wonder why he performed so badly on a track he knows better than most? Niamh Possibly because he was up against 2 world class riders who also know the track better than most. Also to say he performed so badly is staggeringly inaccurate, with 2 paid wins, and being involved in a couple of epic races 👍
fullbore
Possibly because he was up against 2 world class riders who also know the track better than most. But we're constantly told he's the best rider in the world... Niamh
Rob VDS
But we're constantly told he's the best rider in the world... Niamh Who by? Sounds like you've been listening to the voices in your head again. He's undoubtedly got the potential to be one of the best but dropping points against Holder and Magic round Wimborne Road is no disgrace!
SCB
Ward score at Poole wasn't as bad as some people are making out. He had an EF in one race and dropped 2 points other than that.

Guest
Just heard that Darcy Ward has failed an alcohol test and is out of the GP today. What a foolish young man In view of the current very sad situation concerning Darcy Ward, I think a mark of respect for him would be if OP used "HIDE" for this thread. Why? I would have thought it was obvious EVEN to you Blazeaway! In my world it is called a 'mark of respect.' But then that concept of thought rarely features on this forum. E I Addio
I would have thought it was obvious EVEN to you Blazeaway! In my world it is called a 'mark of respect.' But then that concept of thought rarely features on this forum. No it's called gustix being self righteous and pompous as usual. Darcy is being discussed on various threads, every comment is respectful and people are genuinely concerned for Darcy. So unless you have any valid contribution just shut up and let proper fans continue posting responsibly.

This is supposed to be a forum for debate: I will ignore your comments - it seems you are in the usual BSF mould - just handing out abuse. You want the thread hidden as a mark of respect but YOU quoted the opening post when there was absolutely no need. Guest
You want the thread hidden as a mark of respect but YOU quoted the opening post when there was absolutely no need. Holier than thou who cannot practice what he preaches comes to mind That's a fair comment on your part Star Lady - it was a wrong quote for me to have used. My apologies in that respect. But I still think the thread should be taken down. The reason I used the OP was to attract the attention of OP Seymour Dix to the thread in the hope he would take my suggested action in regard to HIDE for the thread, not draw attention to Darcy Ward's then misdemeanour - now I realise that to be a bad decision on my part. Forwarded message: -- At 13:00 in Olimp Sports Medicine Centre in Zielona Gora press briefing will be held with the participation of Dr. Robert Zapotocznego, who will present current information about the health of Darcy Ward.
