It doesn't really matter how much he said he drank. He could of had 7 beers or 1 pint of vodka. The breath test was all that mattered.

The fact of the matter is Darcy has done his time and he will be back next month beating every rider across the country. Can't wait :t:

You might be right.

Doesn't change the fact that he could have put fellow Riders at risk though - does it?

I wonder if he will be Tested regularly at domestic Meetings - I certainly hope so.

am right. It won't be for Poole, and I guarantee you there will be plenty of people at the lucky club he goes to who have said nothing but bad things about Darcy Ward, who will magically forget and start cheering like mad for him when he's scoring massive points, passing heat leaders home and away like they're standing still! ;)

You may be right, you may also be very wrong..

My youngest daughter is now 17 so there is no way I would want him at Swindon, it just goes 'against the grain'..

That's just me though..

It's quite clear that other than not being honest about how much he drank, Darcy has been consistent and honest throughout.

Why on earth some people think that Darcy, Matt and Neil would intentionally lie about things that would clearly be published in a detailed statement is beyond me. The obvious answer is that they wouldn't.

words fail me.

Well they don't really but it's unfair to mock the afflicted

Yes it is, but we address that last year when it happened. The guy did wrong, he served his punishment and both himself and the fans paid the price. So let him get back to work and give the guy a break. You've got to draw a line at some point and say it's time to stop kicking a man when he's down.

Nobody has even mentioned the reasons he cited for drinking. Of course there is never an excuse, but I am sure we've all found ourselves making stupid decisions when life has left you in a dark place.

That's because the reasons were a lie.

It was soon discovered he obtained the news that upset him 2 weeks earlier.

Really, ive read the statement. Darcys back in a months time, he will want to move on from the massive mistake, whether he rides for us or gets loaned out. Perhaps so should you and your unhappy little army, but i won't be holding my breath.

So no apology to me for calling me a liar? All those time you had a go at me for calling him a drunk. Come one, admit you were wrong and say sorry.

"64. Mr Ward further claimed that his normal alcohol consumption in Australia was limited to a couple of drinks on Saturdays and sometimes on Sundays. He had never been involved in any incidents involving alcohol when riding a motorcycle or driving a car."

Isn''t that perjury?

I think the most concerning thing here is the fact Ward was knowingly going to race knowing how much he had drank the night before. It's sad that after the terrible loss of Rico and some of the horrible injuries riders have had, one of their peers was willing to go out and race over the limit with no regards for their safety.

Those saying its people being anti Poole really don't see the bigger picture. If Ward had come out in a heat against Holder and caused a terrible accident, would you still be defending him? I don't think it matters which team you support.

For being wrong and calling him a lot of things including a liar when it's now been proven he wasn't?
