64. Mr Ward further claimed that his normal alcohol consumption in Australia was limited to

a couple of drinks on Saturdays and sometimes on Sundays. He had never been involved in any

incidents involving alcohol when riding a motorcycle or driving a car.

65. Mr Ward confirmed that he knew that alcohol was prohibited in-competition in

motorcycling but claimed that he was unaware about how long it took to eliminate alcohol from the

body. He was willing to participate in FIM´s educational programme for young riders regarding

alcohol use in motorcycling sport.

66. Mr Ward finally said the he could not believe that he had exceeded the threshold for

alcohol but took full responsibility for what he had done. He added that there was no excuse

considering that racing was his life and that he had missed the chance to win the World

Championship through what had happened.

Darcy isn't the brightest tool in the box either...

In his written statement he claims he had ONE drink whilst eating his meal..

which when questioned at the hearing turned into 7 vodkas!!!

It also shows us the utter lies we have been fed by the Ward camp.. the bleating about the hearing being postponed when it was WARDS camp that requested them to be postponed.

Now we can look forward to Darcys promised statement!

It also doesn't reflect well on the protestations emanating from certain people at Poole either.

Full judgement here

http://www.fim-live.com/en/library/download/53973/download/Library/no_cache/1/

A very interesting read.

It confirms much of what we had thought all along.

That Darcy had no complaints at all about the process in Latvia at the time. He knew full well that he had too much to drink the night before, and despite being surprised that he failed the tests the following day, he never really thought that anything was amiss with the procedure. That is why he openly admitted to his drinking.

All the nonsense about testing procedures came up later when his lawyers tried to use every loophole possible to 'get him off', despite the guy being fully aware of his own guilt in the fact of the matter.

And it was the Ward side (once the lawyers came in) questioning of everything - no matter how irrelevant - along the way that caused all the delays.

The judgements and procedures of the FIM seem to be of a quite exemplary standard and have afforded Ward true Justice.

In addition the sentence passed was equally fastidiously considered and even the matter of expunging results is clearly right and proper.

I do hope that those so willing to take the FIM to task will offer their apologies.

Thankfully something in World Speedway seems to deserve our real respect.

At last.

Thank you for your excellent work Mr Nilsson.

People seem to be forgetting.. the family home had been put up for sale!

Not sure anything of us could cope if our parents decided to sell their house. Has this ever happened to anyone before? Did you cope?

However this confuses me..

Initially he was stated he had hardly drunk anything.. but at the same time had given an excuse as to why he had been drinking..

( ie) you don't know the bloke personally yet you continue to crucify him.Things affect people in different ways his parents issue we don't know the total facts anyway June 28 th his ban is finished will you give him a clean SLATE or are you waiting to pounce when he makes another mistake?

Ah but we do know the facts.. he found out about the breakup a few weeks before.. so the defence was a lie. Just as his claims he only had one drink with his dinner was a lie. Just as the claims that the FIM were delaying the meetings was a lie. Just as the claims that the tests weren't conducted in the correct manner and by a qualified official were a lie.

When someone feeds you a pack of lies over a prolonged period of time they are going to get some stick.

So Greg Hancock and Jarek Hampel were entirely alcohol free.

And Ward was drunk.

And he's never been involved in any incidents involving alcohol when riding a motorcycle. Cloud cuckoo land.

And so Mr Holder, you still hoping your boy gets off? Happy to race with a drunk rider, but not with a rutted track?

And:

- 29 Sept Ward's defence requests information disclosure

- 29 Oct FIM advise as a result, hearing delayed from end November to 8 January

- 4 Nov Wards defence complain about the delay

- End Nov Ward's defence accept new date

- 19 Dec Ward's defence declare Ward hasn't had sufficient time to prepare his case and request a postponement.

So basically Darcy pretty much lied to his fans all the way through it. Being over the UK drink drive limit he must have had a heavy night. So where is this "off duty policeman"

Of course not.

However, it hasn't made the slightest bit of difference as you can see from Starman and others posts on the Poole thread.

Mind You.

I bet quite a few people, such as Muddlo, never expected the FIM to have produced such a detailed 17 page document.

With the lies laid bare for all to see.

.....BWitcher.....People seem to be forgetting.. the family home had been put up for sale!

As long as they give him their new addresses and he has a choice whether to live with Mummy or Daddy then I don't see what the problem is.
