sommelier
if he came out with a statement similar to that , i would not believe one word of it . he lacks the brains to string 2 coherent words together , so it would have been written by someone else . a statement claiming I'll try not to do anymore stupid things or I'll do my best not to get caught again , would be more likely to have come from him . but whatever statement he makes only an idiot would believe he means , because if he decided to steal a car or take drugs this afternoon the consequences would be the last thing on his mind Givee it a rest, the guy is keeping tight lipped serving his ban. The likes of you he is in a no win situation!!!
bruno
Well I'm going to disagree unusually with twk and others. We know he's a prat but once the bans been served he should be treated like any other rider. So if he's the best for a wild card he should get it. I'm prepared to be shot down. Lol so just like any other rider if he is up to it he can qualify for 2016 0r beyond . and just like any other rider he can be selected for a wild card at his home GP ,
bruno
Exactly, it's not always a home rider who gets a home gp. Mainly but not always
Ghostwalker
It seems that Darcy have appealed the decisions to alter his league average(s) which was part of the FIM ruling. Here is an exempt from an article about Fredrik Engman who might find himself left outside of Piratena's lineups when Darcy returns. This is because if Darcy's appeal is overruled Engman who's (heat) average is 0,643 won't fit under the average cap with Darcy's new average.

weatherwatcher
Doe's anyone know if Darcy has mange to get a visa to race in the UK this year. They have had plenty of time to sort it out, but will they have just forgotten and overlooked the fact, also will they issue him with one this year. From the quite spell we have had from all concernmed parties, I am sure that someone must have put a cork in the bottle so to speak, as it has gone vgery quite on all fronts. From all members of his following mentors. Just hope he sits back and looks who actually tells him what to do and looks after his interests because so far no of them have made a very good job of keeping him on the straight and narrow. So here to a new look Darcy Ward, one that is pure as the driven snow ans super squeeky clean. We can live in hope and see him go on to far better things than he has been giving us in the past, his riding is great to watch, but is off track antics leaves a great deal to be desired. SteveLyric2
He can only get a visa if the application form is correctly sponsored by the club offering him a contract to ride!!
weatherwatcher
Then we just have to sit back and wait to see if they have got their act in gear, and even thought about appying. Edited May 5, 2015 by weatherwatcher

Ghostwalker
Another of those "buhu i did wrong but don't want to take the consequences".-articles. They won't accept that Darcy's average will be changed because his results from the meeting in Sweden that he rode between Latvia GP and his provisional suspension will be removed which is accordingly to the rules for someone who are convicted of a doping offence. Just a case of a team manager not reading the rule book properly, http://www.mvt.se/sport/speedway/piraterna-kommer-att-slass-for-att-halla-darcy-wards-snitt-nere-11001782.aspx Edited May 6, 2015 by Ghostwalker

Popular Post Ghostwalker
BUT had he been convicted at the time? He still had his licence and was therefore free to ride. Said at the time and still do if he was free to ride then why should he or his clubs be retrospectively penalised? The rules says that a rider that gets convicted for a doping offence should have his or hers scores removed in those competitions he/she have participated in between the time of testing and the time at which the rider gets suspended. In this case that mean that Darcy's average will be recalculated which means that his average this season will be slightly higher. This causes Piraterna to be unable to use the team that their team manager had intended but that is his own fault. Darcy was not forbidden to ride BUT any team that used him or (re-)signed him before the final verdict should be aware of the consequences of doing so. Now Darcy was later convicted and FIM correctly decided that his scores for this period shall be removed. This cannot be disputed because FIM follwed their own rules. The team(s) and rider(s) affected cannot complain afterwards about something they should have been aware of. Piraterna chose to use Darcy in that one meeting and they chose to re-sign Darcy despite not knowing what the outcome of the FIM investigations/hearing would be. They screwed up and now they are trying to fix it by blaming FIM and by appeal their decision. In Sweden we a have proverb saying "som man bäddar får man ligga". Basically it means that when you make your own bed you can only blame yourself for the status of the bed. Stefan "Ando" Andersson (the former speedway rider) took a gamble which backfired, he and Darcy cannot blame someone else for their mistakes. One can argue whether or not the rule shall exist or if a rider failing an alcohol breath test should be immediately suspended until FIM have decided on a verdict. But until the rules are changed it is down to every rider and team manager to be aware of the rules. If the they decide to take a gamble, fine, but don't complain if the gambling doesn't pay off and it backfires. Like it did in this case. So as I said, this is just another pity Darcy/pity us article. You (=they) created your own mess so live with it and stop blaming the FIM. BWitcher
Meanwhile in the UK they just completely ignore the ruling anyway! Which pretty much sums up the SCB.
