sommelier
I totally agree he hasn't a clue,i have spoke with endless Poole fans at the Abbey over the years and there is great banter between us a few of them remember the lean times Poole endured over a period from being champions in 1969 onwards.Ward i only support as a speedway fan,who wants to see the best ride and when focused he is one of the best.I have not been to Poole as much over the years as i would of liked, a beautiful area a great day out with the speedway thrown in at night a great day i went there quite alot in the 80s (ie Autrey,Lee, Davis days. Yes Sidney like you, i like to watch the best, exciting riders, its like last night at OTA, was so looking forward to watch Kurtz, and boy he did not let me down

On this forum it is quite split as to wether Poole fans would want Ward in the team this season 2. I thought this may translate to the terraces, not a daft opinion. 3. Magic is performing as good if not better than Ward 4. Not once have i said i dont want to see Ward race. Hope you can compute that. However i ask the question would you prefer Ward or Magic? Seems on here the real fans want Janowski

Starman2006
What happened to the off duty policeman? He's still off duty... How about Ward explaining his decision why thought it was ok to go drinking the night before a GP, and thinking he was going to get away with it, possibly putting his fellow riders in danger. And he's the only one, yes ? Thats why ive been screaming on here for an ALL TEST before every GP and FIM meeting...

chris4gillian
Wow, I go away for a few days and World War 3 breaks out on here...ha,ha!! For what it's worth I'm one of the 'Poole fans on the terraces' and I personally can't wait for Ward to be back in his Pirates Kevlars...but ONLY when he's served his time, IF he's finally learned his lesson and grown up and he's introduced at the 'right' time. However, this shouldn't be this season unless one of our top two gets injured or wishes to step aside. I sincerely hope MF doesn't push Magic out to accommodate Ward (if averages allow) as let's be honest it won't be Noddy that gets ousted as we all know he adores the Turbo Twins. Magic is exactly that and fully deserves to be our club captain this year and for many more if he wishes to remain. I would suggest that this may be the opinion of many fellow Pirates supporters but I wouldn't hazard to put a figure on it unlike some! SCB
Still waiting for the FIM statement to explain why/how they turned up to a hearing with a breath test machine and a test certificate that didn't match!!? There is loads left in this thread if/when the FIM explain their decision. It's irrelvant. It was a tribunal that Darcy had so it's only balance of probabilities. Technically they don't need a test if they can find half a dozen people to say he was drunk. It's not like a court of law.

Completely agree, all riders should be tested before the GP`s.

Ward was charged with failing an alcohol test not being drunk. As someone who spoke to Ward several times in the morning of the meeting, prior to his test, I certainly wouldn't have guessed that he would fail a test whereas years before in Bydgoszcz it was obvious that Danno was under the influence, but it still required a test to establish the fact.

SCB
It's not a stage remark. A tribunal (be it sport or employment) has to be balance of probabilities. Eg would the average person believe it to be true. Only in a court of law does it have to be beyond reasonable doubt. Civil vs criminal law. Check it out. Starman - under the influence of alcohol. So half a shandy with your lunch = drunk. Edited March 28, 2015 by SCB

SCB
Rubbish. You've clearly lead a sheltered life. It's not rubbish. But if thats the extend of your debating skills then I'm happy to leave it there. I have justified my point and back it up - while you have just dismissed it, which says it all. But im very sure you will try and tell me. If it was a Coventry rider i dare say you wouldn't try very hard.. And you certainly wouldn't have that picture. I thought only kids did that sort of thing... Edited March 28, 2015 by Starman2006

So I can listen to starmans definition, or that of many on-line dictionaries. "Caused or influenced by intoxication." "having a level of alcohol in the blood that exceeds a maximum prescribed by law" And it's not a Coventry rider is it, it's Darcy again. And you lot have been peddled and subsequently peddled yourself so many lies and half truths. So how intoxicated was he? You tell us not enough to be "drunk", depending on the starman definition of "drunk" you could be right, he wasn't. If by drunk you mean have just downed 10 pints in the last 4 or 5 hours. But to the rest of us drunk means having ANY alcohol in your body. We also don't know what the reading was on this "fake" or "dodgy" testing kit - it could have said he'd just downed a bottle of Jack Daniels - you don't know any more than any of us.
