I'm scared to open it in case they've got Muddlo as a topless centrefold.

.

Well, Phil gives him a paragraph or two of mild admonishment.

It is not a spanking that would cause pain.

Not even redden the cheeks.

But beware, Muddio is actually given the 'Guest Columnist ' page this week.

I kid you not.

This weeks edition is the Surbiton version of a journalistic V-sign to their critics.

"Everyone hates us.

And we don't care."

Lets be honest the speedway star have been shocking in their journalism on the Darcy Ward issue.

But I don't see an issue with him being on the front cover after all it is the big speedway news.

Would be nice though if they took him to task inside and actually gauged the reaction of speedway fans rather than Darcy, Middlo, Pooles press office or Poole fans but I guess as usual the star will find it shocking he is banned

Yes, perhaps it's just me.

A bit over sensitive.

But then I reacted badly when I saw the knife-wielding Jihadi John on the front page of the National newspapers last week.

It may be the top story.

But I'd just rather not offer them the glory.

Surprised to see the front cover of today's Speedway Star.

A disgraced rider who has been recently banned by the sport's worldwide governing body.

And surely the week's big news story, and therefore the automatic choice for front cover this week? It's not as if they are praising him: the headline is about his 10-month ban.

If the Speedway Star hadn't have covered it sufficiently, you'd be criticising them for sweeping the news under the carpet.

All the best

Rob

I agree on the ISIS scum I can not believe papers like the Mail publish their atrocities. But Ward is a newsworthy story, the headline should have read 'Ward finally deservingly banned'.

Which in my opinion is exactly why the speedway press, including Pearson constantly sit on the fence with splinters in their ass because they are so afraid of upsetting 'speedway stars'/their mates out of fear of not getting Sky/Star columns/interviews with them in the future if they are too critical.

Or, heaven forbid, the worst possible scenario, a tweet from Ward with #notfriends

So will Darcy learn his leasson, knuckle down, sort himself out?

Will he hell.

Darcy Ward #4⃣3⃣ @D_Dublu_racing · 7h 7 hours ago

A statement will follow this or next week with details that I think my fans and supporters should know. I'm not happy about the unanswered

TBH, I'm surprised that Darcy thinks he's got any fans and supporters left - considering how often he has let Speedway's uber club Poole down..

Anyway, apparently Darcy and Middlo are now up to letter F and are really pushing the boundaries with regard to the forthcoming drivel statement and still hope for it to be published within the original timescales..

Gabba Gabba Hey,, :t::D

This happens in any walk of sport, try to keep people sweet when it is your livelihood nothing new in that. Also this forum does not portray the overall feeling about Ward he is still popular and when he can ride again he will put bums on seats (ie) because he is a great rider.
