Ghostwalker
What he has done, allegedly done or been accused of in the past has nothing to do with this incident. This incident relates around the self admitted fact that Ward drank a lot of alcohol on the night before a GP and on the day of the GP failed a breath test. Unfortunately some people's comments on here relating this incident are fueled by the former. Actually it has because there is a common factor (or red thread as we say in Sweden) in all of his cases. That factor is alcohol and/or other drugs.

The other common factor is everytime Ward messed up, Middlo would come out with some stupid comment, seemingly defending the undefencable.

norbold
Sorry, remind me again, who is Darcy Ward? Is he a speedway rider? Has something happened involving him recently? Can I find any information about him anywhere?
pugwash
Let it be said, Nicki Pedersen is the complete professional, and would never do anything to jeopardise his career . It is only sometimes, the red mist comes down when he actually on the bike......... Yes the roguish but lovable pantomine villan. How long before he seriously injures another rider? He's a nutter, no two ways about it. A total liability.
SCB
No it isn't as these are non speedway related incidents. But didn't the non-speedway incident where he was hit across the head effect his speedway? And what if the Aussie police evading incident had happened in the UK? He'd have probably been in far more trouble and would have stopped him riding. And the sexual assault case, it meant he couldn't ride in Sweden that week. These things can and do have an effect. Also, by him getting away with them, he possibly thought the drinking the night before a mid-day GP would be something else he could get away with? Wackie
Not that I would trust Nikki Pedersen !!! In what way? You don't trust the pictures he posts on twitter showing 0% alcohol in his system whenever tested? Definitely, im all for it... Agree that all riders should be tested before meetings, but it still wouldn't stop the whinging if Ward was caught again. His syncophants would still expect him to get a slap on the wrist and a cursory suspension from October to February so he didn't miss the European speedway season! Whether people like it or not. Ward is being treated exactly the same way as any other competitor who falls foul of the FIM rules and regulations would. All these calls such as "he's done his time" "it's not fair the ways he's being treated" are quite simply pathetic. It's not the FIM who are the joke!!

This incident relates around the self admitted fact that Ward drank a lot of alcohol on the night before a GP and on the day of the GP failed a breath test. Unfortunately some people's comments on here relating this incident are fueled by the former. I agree with what you say that what he has been accused of before has nothing to do with this incident. However because i feel a 12 month ban is correct for failing a breath test does not make me a Darcy Ward hater as some on here keep saying I think you are wrong to say MOST dislike him, people i speak to generally want him to be punished but also to maybe help him in the future.I certainly do i think he should be severely fined that put into the injured riders fund and aloud to start in March but he has to miss the GP Series for a year even miss the Australian GP believe me that will hurt. Also he should have a two year period where he has to stay out of strife, all down to Darcy then.I also don't agree with all the Middleditch crap friends stick together in my experience and i admire Neil for that ok he has got angry and said certain thing's (who hasn't ) but mates stick together forever.Ward for me is the biggest talent i have seen since Michael Lee, i hope he keeps his head down and shows us what he can do.I will be supporting him anyway,i hope this week the episode is finished with one way or another. i agree with most you say .............but dont be blinkered about Middlo

The FIM have done nothing wrong here, they have followed their protocol and are well within their rights to issue a statement up to 45 days from the tribunal; quite common practice elsewhere. For Muddlo to call the FIM a joke is quite astonishing. The FIM didn't force Darcy to drink that night did they? The FIM have played by the rules... Darcy hasn't.
Popular Post The White Knight
I reckon Ward would be far better off in the eyes of the Public if 'Middlo' kept quiet.
SCB
I reckon Ward would be far better off in the eyes of the Public if 'Middlo' kept quiet. Well said. Making himself spokesman for Ward and then making stupid comment after stupid comment doesn't reflect well on Ward.
Gavan
Well said. Making himself spokesman for Ward and then making stupid comment after stupid comment doesn't reflect well on Ward. Absolutly spot on. Middlo has shown himself up time and again, even going as so far to say the FIM are a joke when quite clearly the fool doesnt know the protocol. People would have more respect for Middlo if he spoke the truth about Ward but for some reason he seems to think Ward can do no wrong and as many say the longer Ward has Middlo with him he is learning nothing

Trees
Certainly is. He often posts his test results from meetings, and guess what, 0 alcohol. Model pro. He's been dangerous without being over the limit!
