Wackie
Pardon my lack of forum etiquette in my quoted reply Gustix. I'm afraid the tears of laughter obscured my vision of the keyboard. I wouldn't sign that petition either. But I'd love to be in the FIM offices when they receive it.
Popular Post John Leslie
im sure the fim will take note of this and make sure Darcy races again lol was this written by.... a) a 9 year old b.) Darcy c) His mum d) Middlo e) Starman f) A senile 80+ year old g) A consortium of 9 year olds (as this is what all youngsters are doing) Don't even understand why people are wasting time commenting on this pathetic "petition" (which isn't even a petition anyway), since:- a) It isn't a petition, it's a child's facebook post b.) It's badly written and not worthy of consideration c) It's factually incorrect and not worthy of consideration d) It's highly unlikely to be seen by anyone in power at the FIM or WADA as I doubt they trawl facebook posts e) If by any chance it was seen by someone at the FIM or WADA, they would take no notice of a child's facebook post anyway. Meanwhile, Justin Bieber's "Back in the studio...of course" post is now up to 61,536 retweets and 70,323 favourites. Now whilst we're on the subject of pointless social media drivel, I have been doing some research and note that all the main players have names for their sheep-like inane kiddiwink supporters. Justin Bieber's halfwit devotees are "Beliebers". Cheryl Cole's are "Soldiers". Lady Gaga's are "Monsters". Kylie Minogue's are "Lovers". One Direction's are "Directioners" So I think we need a name for the ill-educated sheep who want to get Darcy out of his current hole. Can I therefore suggest "Darceholes"?

Guest
Further to the ongoing debate in regard to the Darcy Ward petition now on Social Media: I understand that this is not a direct Post by the actual 'Let Darcy Ward return to speedway' page but is a forwarded message to the group from some members in Australia. BWitcher
The Social Media site backing Darcy Ward is now involved with a support petition for eventual presentation to the FIM. The text reads:- Stop the ban and let Darcy Ward race in 2015 We want Darcy Ward to race in 2015 and for the ban to be stopped so he can continue to race speedway. Darcy is one of the best speedway riders, he's entertaining to watch and he makes time for all of his fans. He's worked hard through out his life to be up the top in speedway. It is his career and his future. Darcy brings the fans to the race track. Everyone looks forward to watching him race and speedway is not the same with out him. It would be a massive loss to the sport if Darcy Ward wasn't racing in 2015. Please sign this petition so we can continue to watch Darcy race and for his career in speedway. With each passing day, the intellect of the average speedway fan continues to stagger me. Just when I think it can't get any lower..... Humphrey Appleby
In what way does the petition mean nothing? It is calling for a rethink in the Darcy Ward affair and for him to be allowed to resume his speedway career. It means nothing because there's a disciplinary process to be followed, and which should not be influenced by populist (pro or otherwise) sentiment.

The Doctor...
By criticising (or praising) the actual subject matter put forward for the petition: what is right or wrong with the reason/s for putting forward such a petition. Why it will when (or if) it is presented to the FIM the merits or otherwise that will see it succeed or fail. I cannot see where you have made issues in regard to the actual thinking behind the compilation of the petition. I've just woke up after my night shift, so i'm a tad sleepy still, but are you seriously suggesting that this petition would ever be presented to the FIM as part of this whole process ? Worlds fail me. As others have already mentioned, the text is so juvenile in it's tone that only a bonehead would even entertain the witterings contained in it. For me personally, whenever i read posts or see people mentioning how "rider x makes time for all his fans", that's the time when they lose all credibility in my eyes..total guff and such a pointless statement. E I Addio
Further to the ongoing debate in regard to the Darcy Ward petition now on Social Media: I understand that this is not a direct Post by the actual 'Let Darcy Ward return to speedway' page but is a forwarded message to the group from some members in Australia. There is no ongoing debate about it as far as this thread is concerned. Everyone who has commented unanimously agrees that the Facebook page is utter tripe, posted by someone who has sawdust for brains, is even less capable than you of constructing a coherent or cogent argument and it is.an indictment of the intelligence of those who "liked" it. There is nothing more to be discussed. Everybody who has posted is in agreement. Perhaps you might take the hint to take your potty ideas to facebook or some (un)social media site frequented by the sort of half wits that are ill informed enough and inarticulate enough to grant you the attention you crave but frankly you are making yourself look an idiot by continually banging away with your irrelevant point. Nobody agrees with you. Nothing more to discuss. Time to move on.
one of clubs
I wish to make it known that Darcy is my fave EL rider. However the fact remains that Darcy was under the influence and he should serve his ban, just like anyone else. Mr loophole ginger clown Middleditch should just shut the **** up in his claims that Darcy was tested by a off duty police officer, who is not a Poole fan and was using a incorrectly calibrated machine so it is wrong. Caught fair and square he was and it is time to pay the ferryman.

Badge
Lol I have missed this thread, whilst I had malware issues with this site. Thank you for the entertainment!! On a serious note is it any wonder the boy can't learn from his misdemeanors when people keep stoking his ego like this.
Wackie
Some compelling arguments for Darcy on the petition. Barry Humphries - It's an Australians right to do his job while drunk! Power to the people I say, the FIM have got to sit up and take notice.

I agree with a lot of the points the originator of the petition states ie Darcy is one of the best speedway riders (I think so too), he's entertaining to watch (undoubtedly) , Everyone looks forward to watching him race (maybe not all) and speedway is not the same with out him (some may disagree, but I agree) It would be a massive loss to the sport if Darcy Ward wasn't racing in 2015 (ok, I will go with the sentiments). However, whose fault is it that Darcy is in the situation he is in? Well, its Darcys fault, no one elses. If he had acted sensibly and responsibly he would have still been racing in 2014, possibly on one of the the top three podium positions at the end of the year, AND riding in the 2015 gp's. I wish some fans would simply grab hold of the reality of the situation.
