SteveLyric2
Surely though Grachan, this flies in the face of issuing visa's to overseas riders as technically to employ him a Brit has lost his job!!!!! Perhaps I am just naive. Howarth isn't out of a job though is he?! He's still earning in the PL and guesting at Poole this evening!! PS as this thread is in the International and SGP section, I wonder which riders are to be 'dropped' by Torun and Piraterna for Darcy to get a ride?! Ozrik
Good to see Ward back. Now I will have to support Swindon.
Gavan
Think the main issue is that Rosco has moaned before about British riders being dropped so it does smack of hypocrisy. However Rosco is Swindon manager so he has a duty to do the best thing for Swindon speedway, irrelevent of the nationality of the rider replaced. Ghostwalker
Skidder1, since you asked Fredrik Engman, a young Swedish talent, were originally ment to be left outside the line-up but luckily for him Jonas Davidsson's form is pretty non-existent so Engman will probably take Davidsson's place for a while. nw42
Well that piece on the return of Ward during the build up to the Berwick match was cringeworthy, leave it out Sky.
mdmc82
Well that piece on the return of Ward during the build up to the Berwick match was cringeworthy, leave it out Sky. Wasn't it just. Notice when they are treating him like god, they don't mention the reason for his ban or the lack of respect he had for other riders.

Obviously now he is back all speedways problems will disappear, crowds will flood back and everything in the sport will be perfect.
Ozrik
Darcy Ward; not god, not world champion, not an angel, just Darcy Ward. Just the name as a topic on this forum has generated almost 6000 responses, (good, bad and ugly), and 350 000+ views. Not even Greg Hancock drew that much attention. That manager at Swindon is smart, although no one has any idea if that will show in gate receipts.
Blazeaway
I wonder if he'll be allowed out with the rider who couldn't be named? Could get messy...

stratton
LOL you have to be joking!!! Mark Loram was a good rider but no where near the natural talent of Darcy Ward.Jack i think Gavan could of been on something when he made that comment,Loram had a great career and would be in my top 10 riders ever for excitement. Also he did very well to win the world Title in a tough era, a mega achievement but then the GP system was flawed saying that everyone knew the rules before the series began. Gavan
Deluded.More than Mark that is a cert.im deluded lol. You don't think Mark was the best at overtaking riders then? Nobody better at making long straights and getting wheels in line. Darcy is talented and natural but he isn't yet as good as Mark as coming from the back.
