If no-one speaks out - then the situation will just go from bad to worse. THAT is why I am Posting as I have done on here.

.

It won't go from bad to worse. For one thing we have the mods regulating things hence Sidney keeps getting bans when he oversteps the mark with personal threats. Nobody else seems to keep getting bans.

Apart from Starman virtually all the regular posters recognise that much of what is said is knockabout stuff and we treat it as water off a ducks back, and most of the time there is no malice behind it. On the occasions when things do get s bit over heated, most posters, Starman excepted, are mature enough to put it to one side and move on .

People from different backgrounds have different ways of expressing themselves, and we have look at the point if the post rather than getting hung up on words used.

Personally I enjoy the banter, and I like reading forthright views even if I don't agree with them. Apart from Sid, who is quite harmless really and a legend in his own lunchtime and most of us quite like anyway, the only two who are where the buses don't run are Starman and Gluesticks so it's not surprising that they regularly get hoisted by their own petard.

I love Starry, most of you would be bored if he wasn't here, of course he makes daft comments, that why he's funny :D You a right about the other one though...

No Jacques - I don't. Sexism is very wrong too. I do the ironing in our house. :t:

So YES - I condemn that as well.

(unless, of course, it is in a humerous context).

Can't say I've seen you say that to Sidney, I've not see you pick up your mate Tsunami when he abuses posters either.. Picking and choosing?

IF that is the case - which I would argue isn't always true - are those hurling abuse back not just as bad. Everyone on here makes daft Posts sometimes - I have had to apologise on here a number of times.

I just wish everyone could 'get on'. Not agree, but at the very least 'get on'.

Without the hostility it isn't necessary.

I direct my comments to Starman and sidney, myself, and everyone else.

where was you when rambo was gonna do me? ..eh? Eh?

pootem urrrp :)

Otherwise they might finish up at the bottom of norbold's hole.

Can you remember how many pages it reached?

Have I got to start worrying yet if this thread might overtake it?

Your a very sad person, whoever you are..To keep trolling for the sake of it.

Nope. He sells the Speedway Star just inside the door at Poole which somehow gives him free admission. I could be wrong, but it's pretty common knowledge at Poole.

You can't miss him. So why not say 'hello' next time? I'm sure he won't punch you in the mouth, he's not Sidney.

Why?

Has Darcy Ward retired?

I hope for his sake there are hundreds of pages to come as he enjoys a long and prosperous career.

Are raise a glass to that

Absolutly mate.

My uncle used to give him £50 over the pit wall at Hackney on a Friday night and we had some great times with the Loram family including his mum Vi , Dad Paul and his grandad who we used to call 'pop'

My aunty was his biggest fan and he gave his 1997 British final winning race jacket to her. My aunty died in Feb 2000 and Mark came to the funeral so unfortunatly she never saw him become world champion.

Still see Mark at Foxhall now and again

Was that £40 for Mark and £10 for Norrie??

One thing I can be sure of is that no-one will finish up with an all-expenses paid trip to Australia and New Zealand on the strength of it, however many pages it is! :D:t::cheers:

You're not wrong but not entirely accurate.

Starman does indeed sell the Stars, he also helps to put up the netting and removes it after the meeting (you know, when we're all in the nice warm bar after the meeting). He also ferries riders to and from airports if required and various other bits and bobs, In short he's one of those volunteer helpers without whom most speedway tracks wouldn't function. Personally I don't begrudge him the free admission, after all I wouldn't do what he does for £17.

It's his carer you feel most for.

Interesting you use the tag line #FIMareajoke, Jacques, when you don't even know what a joke is.

Jokes are only jokes when they are funny ..

You know very well that that was a Neil Middleditch classic, or maybe you don't?

I have no interest in speaking to him to be honest as I'm sure I'll get told 'it's a Poole thing' at least 6 times!

As for Sidney, he's just a keyboard gobsh*te who would probably crawl back under the stone he comes from if confronted by someone he doesn't intimidate :t::D

You mean the new definition of a joke is only something you find funny. You know, people find different things funny. Not everyone appreciates the same humour. My wife, for example, can't see anything funny in Airplane, can you believe it? It doesn't mean it's not funny just because she doesn't think it is. So, for some of us, the interchange on norbold's hole is quite amusing and it really doesn't matter whether you personally find it funny or not. So, if it's ok with you, we might make reference to it again should we feel like it.

And yes, I did know that is a quote from Muddlo.

This is so boring, who cares?

Pm him and ask him if you are that intrigued, it's only you that's interested.

Aaah right... ha ha ha ha ha, how funny

Jacques, you seem to be showing advanced symptoms of 'Norbold's Hole Syndrome'. take two paracetamols and have a lie down.
