WELL I DON'T!!!

This is a FREE Forum open to anyone's views on Speedway, Politics and yes Religion too. You are entitled to say what you think on any subject under the sun as long as you do so in a reasonable manner. We ALL get angry and upset sometimes but that should not put you off Posting. If you pick up a Ban along the way - take it on the chin and come back afterwards hopefully having learned something.

I have said before sidney, you have Posted many interesting Topics and Posts on here. Your decision not to Post any more would be a big loss to the Forum - and may I suggest - also to yourself.

I believe you are WRONG in this.

Remember - you withdraw from Forum activity and you let those who argue, debate and 'wind you up' win.

tomsee him gone for good

I know how we missed it. He's had a ban and now has to have his first few posts read by. s mod, just as with a new member, hence the post only got slotted in after mod approval by which time the tread had moved on.

Poor old Sid. It would be a pity to see him gone for good(unlike Shovlar) but on this sort of rough and tumble forum banter, you have to learn to take it as well as dish it out.

Well said.

I'm of the free speech for all brigade with the proviso I can put anyone I consider an idiot and choose not to listen to on ignore. Think I still have enough fingers on one hand to count how many that applies to

Well said The White Knight. I support what you advise to Sidney and probably know his feelings. There is a small group of Posters on the BSF who delight in 'the wind you up' approach in regard to Posts - as well I know. The same 'old people' all the time...one of whom until recently I had much respect for. No matter what opinion one gives they go out of their way to ridicule one's comment - the old "attack the Poster and NOT the Post"mentality is their landmark.

I want to criticise a post NOT a Poster.

And do not want to be misunderstood or misrepresented.

.

You have damned yourself here.

The first part of your sentence makes it perfectly clear that others are ridiculing your comments.

So they ARE attacking your post not you as the poster.

The fact that you seem confused in that distinction is not THEIR fault.

So please stop attacking them.

Trying to get this back on topic ,there is a common denominator here. The "own worst enemy" scenario.Ward is his own worst enemy and isn't a victim.No-one is out to get him,he just drops himself in it time after time.If he wants to get the best out of his talent he shouldn't be out on the bevvy before an important meeting.

Same with sid.He is his own worst enemy. This isn't a pub where the discussion goes back and forth instantly and things can get out of hand. This is a forum where you can read things and take time to consider your reply. If things seem to be getting out of hand you can turn the forum off and go and cool down.No excuses for threatening people. If you can't hack it,then this isn't for you,no matter how many good posts someone has made

Same goes for gustix. He isn't a victim. He is his own worst enemy.I doubt anyone has anything personal against him.If he stopped posting in his moronic fashion and shared what must be some wonderful memories of the sport then i think he would be more than welcome here.I for one think he likes the role as victim and is looking for some soul mates .President Putin,Darcy Ward and Sidney for starters

It is well time that Darcy Ward started to grow up and get his life on track excuse the pun. But he just goes from bad to worse time and time again.

He should have had more sense to have even turned up for that meeting after drinking to what ever hour he finished. If he ever wants to make it in the top buch of world speedway then his has to sit down and look hard at the life style he is leading, intead of every time just saying sorry I won't do it again and again and again.

The best thing for him would be to give him a season long back and if he still has the heart to come back, then go sort out his life talk to a few good people and come back better and with a dertermination to stay on the straight and narrow in the future.

Sids and Gustix are different kettles of fish. SIDS heart is in the right place but he lets his emotions run away with him.

With regard to Gustix it depends what you refer to as knowledge. He certainly has some good recollections of speedway in days gone by which are of interest to those such as myself that appreciate recollections of speedway history, by himself, Norbold , and a few others.

Unfortunately he has absolutely no knowledge of how to debate, how to construct an argument, how to respond to banter, and perhaps most important of all how to keep more or less to the substance of the topic under discussion without drifting off into barely relevant , tangental tediously uninteresting drivel

I find gustix's 'tangental tediously uninteresting drivel' a great relief from the historical tediously uninteresting drivel.

Lets hope by this time next week it will all be sorted out and Ward hopefully will have learnt his lesson and back riding again entertaining us supporters on the terraces up and down the country

I disagree, it's about penalising a rider who have broken the rules.

You say that he will learn a lesson, I don't think he will unless he is given a long suspension.

Saying that he broke the rules without penalising him will send a signal that he can screw up without any consequences.

His previous scandals have proved that he unable to learn a lesson.

Each time he have said that he have learnt his lesson but each he have been involved in a new scandal.

Each time his apologists (including Matt Ford & Neil M.) have defended him, trying to sweep it under the carpet.

Why would it be different this time?

Darcy is standing at a crossroad now, he could continue down the same party road he currently is on which likely would lead to more scandals and a premature end to his career.

Or he could choose the other serious road which could lead to a world champion title.

I hope that he gets a long suspension and that he choose the second, serious road.
