Poole Vs Leicester 20/08/2014

Recommended Posts

I believe any of the four riders Poole have used from the FTR List this year would have bettered themselves had they been given time to acclimatise and not had the axe threatening from day one. That's not what the FTR is all about. But from what Ford was saying, I felt sorry for SMART from day one.

An old saying was, 'You reap what you sow' and in FTR terms Poole surely have..........

Edit: Cheers, Name correction.

I understand that Jason Doyle was fined for arriving late. What a joke. He said on Facebook 3 hours before the meeting that he was stuck on the A34 with little chance of getting there on time.

Hang on, how was Doyle late? The rules allowed a reserve to replace a rider in one of his rides, which they did. He completed his 3 compulsory rides. I don't see how he can be fined.

If he sent a text 3 hours before the meeting started, which has what has been mentioned, and only just over an hour away he would have arrived in time. It was not his fault an accident closed the road and if he was in a long traffic jam there would be nothing he could have done. It does seem ridiculous that he could be fined.

Because he was late.

"13.4 Riders must Sign-On one hour before the advertised start time and must always be prepared to start in accordance with the programme.

13.4.1 Failure to attend, arriving late, ceasing to participate or leaving a Meeting without the Referees permission is an offence."

Fair enough. I guess its a reasonable enough rule. Just seems odd he could have legitimatly have been left out of his first ride. He did no less than Hans Andersen did on Sky on Monday!

You'd of thought the ref could of made an exception considering the circumstances? It seems like it's at his discretion.

Behave. No so-called professional sport should have such a situation - particularly with betting being associated.

It happens in Cricket!!

Then there would have been complaints about Ronnie Allan being biased!!
