stevebrum
i see the poole 'spin' has started.... comparing what darcy done to other walks of life , but being blatantly blind to what other SPEEDWAY riders have got for the same offence try comparing like for like ie speedway rider to speedway rider , not speedway rider to footballer or celeb danno got 8 months for the exact same thing no doubt the official release from the poole management will contain similar spin and comparing to other sports Just waiting for the Bull to start. seriously please look at what you are writing before posting. Danno 8 month ban for being the same amount over the limit as Ward. If he doesnt get 8 months then there is skullduggery going on. I agree more than 8 months might be excessive but to just fine him would probably make a lot of people turn their back on the sport altogether. Of course celebs do drugs. Ive no doubt that footballers and maybe some riders do as well. Celebs and football players get pissed as well. Darcy Ward can drink as much as he wants when he hasnt got to race. A celeb or footballer can drink as much as they like when they dont have to perform. The fact is when you have a professional job to do you should not be under the influence its not even an opinion. Darcy wasnt and deserves to be banned. Didnt Rio Ferdinand get an 8 month ban for missing a test? Wasnt even found to be on anything yet still got banned so your arguments dont really hold up. If a footballer was breath tested before a game do you not think they would get banned if over the limit? Jockeys get banned for being drunk before a meeting and not allowed to ride. I suggest before you post comments do a bit of research Nah, doubt the one man band will get it. There lies my point. If that was Poole you would be on the bandwagon by now but seeing as it's Leicester its fine. Where i have said its fine?? Making stuff up as per usual. Any team/rider who cheats stinks as far as i am concerned.

frigbo
Another classic speedway moment. Ref Ronnie Allan is Leicester boss Norrie Allan's brother!! Luckily Leicester are so gash it doesn"t matter!! Unprofessional is the Uk speedway strapline.
Happy Hunter
Already looking forward to hearing why Norrie Allen didn't put Jason on a TR in Heat 6!
SCB
Whats with the long delay before heat 10? Not an interval surely? The rules say no interval until after heat 10 Another classic speedway moment. As long as you're a referee and your brother is a team manager"
mdmc82
@GaryHavelock: It's nice to see @hopwoodracing backing up his speedway star comments on the track. He's raced Benji 3 times and beaten him 3 times👌👌👌👌👌👌

stevebrum
You haven't said its fine but you would have been off on one by now. There you go, telling my what i would or wouldn't say. Leicester are playing a team who have already had the rules fiddled for them. So its OK i guess isn't it. Back in the real world anyone that cheats should be punished. But we know that hardly happens. No interest in this match for all the right reasons.

salty
What has Johnson said? Interview with Paul Burbidge. Quite lengthy, but selected quotes...."Neil (Middleditch) was happy with me at Wolves after my last ride. So I didn't expect to be dropped straight away, especially for somebody I feel I can beat" "If Poole were going to give me an opportunity ...then of course I would go back. But if I was just going to get a couple of meetings and get binned, I wouldn't go back to them. I fully understand Matt wants to win the league...but there has got to be a happy medium where you support the British riders and try to bring them on for the future"
YerRopes
Another farce of a meeting (yet again).. But I would like to congratulate Ben Hopwood for his performance tonight.. Well done Ben, I bet you enjoyed that (quite right too)..

frigbo
So ? Did a good job of it didnt he ? Who cares as long as he was impartial ? Behave. No so-called professional sport should have such a situation - particularly with betting being associated.

foreverblue
If Matt Ford brought johnson back I would applaud it, especially as he is no worse and scored as many points as compton who is supposed to be better but I have seen little evidence and considering he couldnt beat hopwood tonight we could get hopwood back and it would be a benefit
