Tom Turner
Fresh off of the back of 5 wins in a row including a win against runaway title favourites King's Lynn, the Pirates will be looking to secure another 3 point's against the Leicester Lion's. Will Poole be comfortable with their strong second place in the Elite League table or will their fresh taste of blood inspire them to fight for a potential first place league finish? With nothing to lose and all to gain the Pirate's will be looking to stamp their authority early on at the Wimborne road track over a weak Leicester side. Will King's Lynn hold their place as title leaders until the play off finals or will their recent loss prove to be a choking point for the Stars? Poole are definitely the on form team and will be looking to pounce. Teams to be confirmed.
Rob Dyer
I believe Mads & Nicolai are needed for the Danish League so will miss the fixture. Replacements still to be named. Comfortable home win expected. Travel update - after the meeting anyone who uses the A31 from Ringwood through the New Forest to the M27 should know that that the Highways Agency will be closing the whole stretch from 22.00 to 06.00 so you will be sent on a lengthy and time consuming diversion. http://www.highways.gov.uk/news/press-releases/improved-signage-on-the-a31-near-ringwood-hampshire/
SteveLyric2
Norrie Allen stated in Speedy Star that Klindt and Korneliussen wil be missing - to be replaced only by PL 6-pointers!! I hear David Howe is one of them. Ben Hopwood also guests at reserve for Josh Bates.

The Observer
Even the Leicester Manager admits they'll be so under strength that they can't realistically expect anything from the meeting. Only being allowed PL 6-pointers is harsh to say the least.

foreverblue
Only being able to use pl 6 pointers is a ridiculous ruling, I realise why but its a stupid rule that only goes to make meetings farcical and uncompetitive and seriously affects crowd levels
Shirl
Only being able to use pl 6 pointers is a ridiculous ruling, I realise why but its a stupid rule that only goes to make meetings farcical and uncompetitive and seriously affects crowd levels I totally agree with you last week at Leicester we had the world champion Tai in town and there was a fantastic crowd and a great atmosphere, last night no disrespect to Lakeside totally different I appreciate Wolves is a bit of a local derby but this sport relies on the paying public watching top riders,we need the likes of Tai,Darcy,Niels,Chris Holder in our leagues. As for this weeks meeting, what's the point and that's pretty much what the lions management think, why pay elite league wages when PL will do.An absolute joke. Looking forward to the return visit on Saturday night, let's hope Darcy is on song, him and Doyley in a race is a great prospect.

barrow boy
Even the Leicester Manager admits they'll be so under strength that they can't realistically expect anything from the meeting. Only being allowed PL 6-pointers is harsh to say the least. Thought putting out understrength teams is against the rules and clubs may be fined for doing so. If this is not such a case I don't know what is. It also seems that normal guests are allowed for riders who get injured in a non speedway activity so why can't the sensible thing be to allow teams missing riders due to being forced to ride elsewhere to be replaced properly also?

SteveLyric2
It could be quite close!!?? MF won't want to pay out huge points money to Poole riders for a big win, in a meeting with a poor attendance!!
Bagpuss
Perhaps this will be postponed, I'm sure there was a precedent set when riders were missing one week last year.
SteveLyric2
Perhaps this will be postponed, I'm sure there was a precedent set when riders were missing one week last year. The 'precedent' is that its the home promoter's decision. I fully expect a more than decent attendance (except for the odd one or two on here!) with many holidaymakers around in the week leading up to the Bank Holiday weekend, to swell the crowd - again! Exactly. And amongst those holiday makers are going to be a number of people who have never been to a speedway meeting before, but thought they would give it a go. They will then see a from the gate meeting that is so one sided and processional that they will never go to another speedway meeting again.....................would you get the people who run speedway in this country to promote or run your business. ......................The term, Couldn't run a p... up in a brewery springs to mind
stevebrum
Does that mean Stevebrum will be coming down for this one as we all no he has posters all over his wall of his hero Why would i come down to Poole to watch a rider that no longer wants to ride for his parent club?? As for what we all know Poole will do anything to win. Surprised MF hasn't called off this match seeing how he hates cheating the public `in the best interest of (Poole) Speedway.` Typical trolling Poole post.
