Glasgow V Somerset Pl Sun Aug 17th 2014 @3p.m.

Toughie this week as it's the Title challenging Rebels in town . No Dimitri as he is meant to be away riding in some long track nonsense at the weekend , but I've heard a worrying rumour that he's crashed and broke something during practice for the aforementioned nonsense . Added to that , Theo might also get a wild card into that rubbish and we've already got a three point man riding at number 1 . I fear a pumping on Sunday . Stranger things have happened I suppose , but it's not looking good for us I don't think .

That's disappointing both for the lad and the club . It's bad enough when your riders get injured actually riding for your club , but when it's stuff like this it's hard to take

A bit of a pumping on the cards for Glasgow, r/r for Pijper, a 3 pointer at No1 and Edberg for Berge. With Dimitri reportedly having a broken wrist/arm I would doubt we will see him again this season, no that we saw him much anyway. The forecast doesn't look good and all in all puts a bit of a downer on what I was looking forward to on Sunday. Unless of course Somerset get stuck right in at Armadale tonight and do the unthinkable :o !

Dimitri broken wrist (or whatever) !

I am now officially touching cloth that Le Wonderbairn doesn't become a Glasgow asset.

I'm sure our promotion are watching that situation

After nearly blowing the meeting on Tuesday , we're not too worried about what they're watching :P

We learned, only late last night with further details coming through during this morning, that whilst practicing on the Miramont circuit in France for Sunday’s World Longtrack Championship round, unfortunately Dimitri suffered a crash which resulted in him being taken to hospital where he underwent an operation on an arm/wrist break and is now in plaster.

His mother Maguy reports that the operation went well however that Dimitri is again feeling very low given this is his second big crash of the year, and once again he looks set to sit out much of the season.

At this point we do not know exact details as to the severity of the break or any associated recovery period.

We are sure you will join us in sending young Dimitri and his family our thoughts and very best wishes for a speedy recovery.

Taken from the Glasgow site, poor kid hasn't had a lot of luck this season, hopefully he will be back before the season finishes.

Hey... We've done it once before  Sure John could have a word with the Dark Lord

I'm pretty sure Dimitri has now done enough meetings to qualify as a Glasgow asset regardless of whatever the Dark Lord or any potential vultures might think . And time will prove young Dimitri will become France's best ever speedway rider

If he hasn't done enough meetings we should have a whip round and fly him over for every match needed.

Get him on a bike with stabilizers, and have someone run round beside him doing the clutch and steering whilst he does the throttle.

Simplees

I thought all your riders were doing that this season George? ;) Damn shame for Berge after just getting back that's he's suffered another injury so quickly, get well soon.
