JamesM09
Kasper Lykke is aiming to ride in the Danish League tomorrow and making a return to the rockets team at Redcar on Thursday. Steve Boxall also aiming a return at Redcar on Thursday. Boxall less likely to ride...

cityrebel
That was a short retirement, maybe len will put him straight back in the team!
Falcon Hammer
He retired after the Peterborough match, when Len was arguing with the riders over track prep. Personally I think Luke was just annoyed with all the politics
westhamboy66
He retired after the Peterborough match, when Len was arguing with the riders over track prep. Personally I think Luke was just annoyed with all the politics Yes but doesn't explain his poor form. Only decent show he made was his first meeting at peterborough. Since then he was pretty poor and his one strength, his home form had disappeared. Nothing to do with the track as it is exactly the same as when he was banging in double figure scores. Strange one but an on form Bowen at reserve with Kasper would have made all the difference to recent results

hackneyrocket
It goes a lot deeper than that[/quoteA couple of weeks ago there was an article in one of the Sunday papers about this. Luke said that he didn't want to ride for the Rockets this season and instead wanted to ride for the Raiders. He also said that he still wanted to carry on riding this season, but obviously not for us.

Shadders
Care to spill the beans Shads Wish Luke the best of luck, as you couldn't meet a nicer guy You're correct, Luke's a top bloke. All I can say it's a personal family issue. This is just me putting two & two together, I've heard nothing concrete. Hope he finds a team place somewhere. On his average there will be no shortage of takers. He's not known as a big track rider, so options could be limited. I can think of one or two places where Luke could do a job, but would involve a fair bit of travel. I'm not sure if he'd want that on a weekly basis Edited May 8, 2015 by Shads
Lord Skid
Luke is one if the most honest Riders around, if you're honest and speak your mind, then Rye isn't the place to ride every week, quite a few have found that out recently.
Ben91
Could see Luke doing well at Redcar as a reserve. With the right home track he is on a bargain average.

Najjer
Could see Luke doing well at Redcar as a reserve. With the right home track he is on a bargain average. He's been pretty decent at Somerset previously too, and we are in need of a new reserve - although whether he would want to return to the place of his massive crash and bad injury week after week remains to be seen. He is 2 points higher than Compton although I appreciate that is a situation that rarely concerns Somerset when it comes to naming teams! wink

Although I haven't looked that closely at it tbh.
