Rye House 2015

We need Boxall and Lykke back ASAP or we could find our season over very quickly!

Having them back before they're properly healed would be worse than not having them at all

Season is rapidly going down the tubes. Only Edward came away from Peterborough today with any credit.

Worrying rumours that the riders haven't been paid for a couple of weeks. Hope this isn't the case.

Shadders, who is responsible for payment as its Lens team and Warrens stadium apparently?

Dunno. It's only a rumour, probably way off the mark. Maybe the new promoters just bedding in and doing things different to the Silver promotion.

Looks like Ipswich only require a draw at Plymouth to top the Southern League Cup group. Second place isn't enough to qualify as it stands. That home defeat by Peterborough (two 1-5's in the last 2 heats) may have cost us dearly.

Copied from Dan Greenwoods website.

Dan's 'STORMing' start to the season has moved on from the National and Premier League guest booking stage. Tonight he will line-up for Coventry Bees in their Elite League match at Wolverhamptonas a guest replacement for James Sarjeant, who was injured in a crash at Glasgow on Sunday. Then, on Thursday, he makes his Premier League debut for the Rye House Rockets at Redcar after agreeing to sign for the Hoddesdon-based outfit yesterday as a replacement for Luke Bowen, who earlier this month announced his decision to take time away from the sport, leaving the Rockets management team having to use a twenty-eight day emergency guest facility that is shortly due to expire.

Obviously thrilled and excited by this new challenge, Dan would like to thank promoters Len Silver and Warren Scott and Team Manager John Sampford for this opportunity, and he is very much looking forward to being a part of the Restart Rockets.

The Rye House Rockets team declaration with averages effective from 1st May, subject to BSPA approval, will be; 1.Edward Kennett (8.71), 2.Nikolaj Busk-Jacobsen (7.00), 3.Anders Mellgren (6.25), 4.Robin Aspegren (5.84), 5.Steve Boxall (6.35), 6.Kasper Lykke Nielsen (5.19), 7.Dan Greenwood (3.00*) - Total=41.31

Hope he does well.

The point that puzzles me slightly is that if the management had re-declared prior to the new averages coming into force, they would of had over four points to replace Luke with. But leaving it till now means the only option is a 3 point rider ???

Maybe first choice did not become available, or they were just dithering, knowing the Rye House management we will never know

Was a pretty misleading Statement re Luke Bowen...Taking time out of the sport, could have been month or retiring. Not helpful really but perhaps they were giving time to Luke to make up his mind properly which is only fair given his service to the club. Perhaps we'll see him again but at National League level sometime. Not sure who would have been available anyway but glad to see we have someone signed up, Edward did remark at Peterborough how it was difficult to maintain a spirit in the team continually using so many guests and i think it did begin show.

Wish Greenwood all the best but this is going to leave us very long in the tail. Frees up points higher up the order, will we be ruthless enough to make another change? Probably not.

The only feasible option would be letting Robin go as he's not an asset. That'd leave 6.93 for his replacement
