CardinalSin
I saw that, but I could have sworn I read numerous times that a riders parent club had priority of any fixture clashes, home or away. Obviously not. I thought the same so that's a new one on me too.
Shadders
Guests have been hit or miss for us in recent times, so I'm not particularly happy about this situation. Edward dropped 3 points in 6 rides on our last visit. Mind you, Sam Masters only dropped one
tocha
I thought the same so that's a new one on me too. The ruling hasn't changed but Len has entered into an agreement with JC at Lakeside whereby, when there are fixture clashes, whichever club is riding at home will have priority. This is subject to BSPA approval the decision for which was due today. Sounds like a gentleman's agreement to me and Len probably feels a bit awkward about it bearing in mind when the respective signings were made and fixture lists issued Ed was still a Coventry asset and, had he remained so, Lakeside would have had priority. I should like to hope, had the the situation been the former, JC would have reciprocated. Edited March 24, 2015 by tocha

Ben91
Do Lakeside and Rye have any fixture clashes when both are at home? I wouldn't think so, unless we decide to have any home meetings on Friday nights.

tocha
The Vortex Lakeside Hammers have no home BH Monday meetings planned. Lakeside have three BH away meetings that clash, two at Coventry and one at Wolverhampton. However, as the Rye House meetings are a 2pm start, Ed should be able to do both. hammer1969
Re my post (635) I have sent a few emails today to various people but with no clear answers forthcoming, Rye haven't even replied yet, but one reply was interesting it basically said as Eddie was a full asset of Elite side Coventry when he signed for Lakeside that is why they get priority. My answer to that is rule 16.1.4 says "a transfer during the season does not change this priority", and anyway I though the transfer was done before the season started. screm
http://www.lakesidehammers.co/edward-kennett-statement/ Lens take on things.
Shadders
http://www.lakesidehammers.co/edward-kennett-statement/ Lens take on things. Fair enough. The last thing you need is a rider throwing a strop and not giving 100%. We've already seen the result of that.
bigcatdiary
He is a rye asset Apparently but 16.1.4 applies here. Edited March 25, 2015 by bigcatdiary

Commendable from Len, would Jon Cook be so gracious if the shoe were on the other foot?

cityrebel
We have seen the damage that was done to the sport by certain clubs in dispute a few seasons ago. It's good to see promoters come to an agreement without any animosity.
Baldyman
I though the Rye house team looked good and solid this year, and so it's so far proving. Glad I put my fiver on at the starting odds, cos they are going to get slashed.

We'll be mid table, around 6th place with an injury free run
