Rye House 2015

Recommended Posts

Wouldn't touch Mellgren on his high average after his nasty back injury last season. Needs to prove his fitness over a fair period first.

Kennett

Garrity

Nelson

Greenwood

No brainers really. Desperate for some back up for kennett though, so a big hitter needed badly otherwise team will do nothing again.

Fully expect Bowen and Boxall to be used though which means towards the bottom of the table for another year. Joy.

1. Edward kennett 8.38

2. Tyson nelson 6.16

3. Nicolai klindt 6.68

4. Anders mellgren 6.57

5. Jason garrity 6.75

6. Oliver greenwood 3.12

7. Adam roynon 4.78

If it happens, I would be fairly happy with that team ))

The 3 worries I would have are all injury related.

1. Anders to come back only if fully fit.

2. Adam to try and have an injury free season.

3. If Jason and Tyson ever race together it could look like a demolition derby out there

4. Steve Boxall ?

5. Jason Garrity 6.75

6. Oliver Greenwood 3.12

7. Ben Morley or James Sarjeant ?

Can certainly see Steve in the team and getting going again but think Luke Bowen is destined to head up the Rye House NL side?

Would be nice to see a full quota of Rye assets at reserve and certainly think Ben is capable especially around Rye.

Kennett, Garrity, Nelson and Greenwood totals 24.41 which leaves 18.09 for the remaining 3 riders if the points limit remains 42.5.

Add in Boxall's 5.36 and we're at 29.77 with 12.73 left. If we retain Boxall then it must simply be at reserve. The rumored addition of Klindt on 6.68 would leave 6.05 for the last rider.

Sarjeant would be a better scorer overall

Which fits perfectly for Bowen (3.96) so that you're the usual 2 points under the limit ;) Edited by Islander15

Amazed to see people suggesting Klindt. Wouldn't go near him. Yes we'll score 12 one day and look amazing (in the 4 rides he wins, while looking shocking in the one he rolls in last) but another day he'll score 3, with 3 shocking lasts and a win by half a lap. Too risky, can't rely on him when you need a big ride.

Also a little surprised at people not wanting Bowen back. Ok he's never going to be a heatleader and he's not that great but on a sub 4 point average there is surely a point to be gained on that at least, possibly two if he spend 90% of the season in reserve, which if the teams is built correctly, he will.

You're right. Luke at reserve is a no brainer, especially at home.

Never been impressed with Klindt for the reasons you stated
