Rye House 2015

Recommended Posts

Think the biggest problem will be riders wanting to ride for the Rockets, the speedway world is a very small one!

That rules out most of this years side then

So who will Rye bring in to replace Anders Mellgren who has quit for the rest of the season due to his back injury, or will it be Mr. RR for a month as Len has requested a facility for 28 days.

If the promotion go RR for the remainder of the season, it just goes to show the lack of respect for the paying public. This would be the ideal time to get someone in and start to look towards next year.

Who can take Anders RR rides? most of the Rye team seem fed up.

Can't see too many wanting the RR rides, probably be ok away from home, but at Rye with the state of the track, could be struggling

just goes to show the state of the current situation at Rye House, if things were okay do people really think Anders would be calling it a day? R/R will be the order of the day, good news for the remaining riders!

It also shows that some of the debacle that came about for heat 15 last week was down due to Anders as well and not just JS?

JS is nothing to do with the problems at Rye, just needs someone who knows how to prepare the track, which they already have, but he's never allowed to get on with it, as Len famously says, it's his way, and that's it. Just very fortunate that after Saturday's attempt at track prep nobody was seriously hurt, feel sorry for Worall, top rider who got beaten up by a crap track, but at least he only rides it a couple of times a year. As for the usual reply, it's the same for both Teams, perhaps they should ask his opinion.

Wouldn't be surprised if there is more to Anders' departure than has been let on. Will be a gamble on a 7 point odd average next year if he wants to come back.

We need to sign someone, we're woefully weak as it is, add R/R in we may as well be in the NL.

Anton Rosen and Dakota North are two names that could fill the void reasonably so don't expect them to sign. Can see Mattress or Nielsen being re-signed or a Kent rider coming in.

Having not been for some time, what is the problem with track prep?

Season is over, Silver won't bother looking around unless someone falls in his lap. From what I'm hearing morale in the pits is at an all time low. Don't want to go too much into it, it'll come out eventually.

These sort of comments are great comedy and as such bring much needed mirth.

So Worrall couldn't ride the track, given his form this year is there any track he can ride? Actually a a better question to ask would be how was it the Witches No 1 was so awful and yet fair play to the visitors Heeps, Risager and Tungate all had better meetings at Rye than for a very long time, Risager was particularly impressive and seem to cope ok.

Just accept Worrell was awful and leave it there i think

Irrespective of Len being the cause or not there are just too many rotten apples in the pits

get rid of them.

Think its harsh of some saying Anders left for reasons other than those stated. For me he needed a year out and not ride with a rod holding his back together, add a couple of hours on a plane pre meeting and no wonder he is in poor shape.

2015 get an ex rider in as team manager, get rid of those who are thinking they are too good for Rye, get rid of the sentimental approach to team building which leaves Kennett, Greenwood and possibly Mellgren if fit.

Couple of Aussie additions who are much cheaper to finance than second rate European riders are always good for team spirit, someone young like Jack Kingston who will improve at reserve, sick and tired of watching middle age hasbeens riding otherwise i don't see how 2016 is possible....oh yeah and sever ties with Kent.

You've already got him at Coventry, that's the problem at Rye House.

Couldn't understand Belle Vue fans not wanting Garrity when we took him, well now we know the reason, take the money from Coventry if they want him and run, he might just last the remaining two years they have

Whoever picked the team is the 1st to be blamed surely, I have always advocated an x rider as a team manager, but there few good managers around wo have ridden a bike, so it must come down to knowledge, and yet again the person who selected the manager. As for middlecaged has beens, GREG HANCOCK to you.

Knowing what westhamboy66 has been posting like lately, one of his main issues is with the "middle aged" 34 year old, Jason Bunyan
