Bandits V Rebels Sat 16/8/14

The team is doing well on track and that's 99% of the battle, people are happier seeing a winning team.

Don't understand why any gripe or complaint is met with the usual Berwick apologists like yourself and catch me if you can though... Not everyone has to tow the spin laden line, say what you think, not what others want you too!!... There's always room for improvement in all walks of life surely??

Always room for improvement.

I love the passive-aggressive use of the term "apologist".

We'll be poor meeting deniers next :)

I shall use the more traditional denialist, if you prefer?

Does that refer to toothless?

No, I think toothless refers to some of the attempts by the usual suspects (on this fine forum) to deny Berwick's promotion credit for what they have achieved, on and off track, since taking over at Shielfield.......

(cue usual suspects)

That's the effect of the dataset now used to calculate averages.

Here comes FROMAFAR!!!

Thanks to our "Proud-to-be-a-Fanny" Tourettes, for that.

Good, indeed great, stat!

Demonstrating it is more important to assemble a team which can collectively win matches, especially away from home, than build a team to the limit based on average, no?

Wasn't complaining, so don't jump to conclusions, thats how you get things wrong all the time. The very point was although nearly every team member has dropped on his original average a team built on team in depth can still win. Remember since 2007, we have not assembled a team in depth, it took a long time but they realised at last that is the best way to go, and may it long continue. To top it all we now have a track prepared the way the riders like it, that took long enough aswell.

Has the embargo on track preparation been lifted then?

Strength in depth will always work with some kind of track advantage which we finally appear to have.

Looks like it has. :D

I always like an out and out No1, but then you must have both reserves scoring, in the past Berwick have tried that and come up short. This season, whether through luck or judgement, or a bit of both the promotion have found the key to success, hopefully they will keep to this method in the future.
