Bandits V Rebels Sat 16/8/14

Of course, but - as always - you shy away from the factual bit of the discussion, given half a chance.

What do you think about all the new faces that were there last night?

It was quite marked, and encouraging.

I shy away from nothing but experience has taught me not to take your posts with any seriousness, sad as at times you seem quite intelligent, and for a Berwick thread that's quite a novelty.

Ok, new faces, any new supporters is a good thing, and if they become regulars then so much the better. I know you were ridiculed for bringing new people along but that's a good thing, this team deserves to be seen by the largest possible audience, after the last few seasons where we have had not a lot to shout about we now have a winning team, hopefully the people of Berwick and surrounding area will recognize that.

I hope you don't anything on here too serious, it's an internet forum!!!!

Yep, the more new faces, the better, and - of course - whilst maintaining the regular faces.

Come on now, you did criticise the fact that the flags were there for Sky, but not on a regular Saturday.

Well, they were there on Sat, must have pleased you?

It's an honest question, not for Devilment.

I was just checking, so that is what made your night.

Whatever floats your boat!

I suppose the highlight for my mate was looking for someone who looks like Family Guy.

Highlight for me was Steen.

Each to their own!

Been a great season for the Bandits, could they go all the way?

It has but unless they get maybe a bit luck you would imagine due to home track dominance that Edinburgh or Somerset are favourites. One good thing about the Berwick team is that there always seems to be a rider to come up trumps if others maybe have off night?

I don't see Berwick winning the PL, one of the teams you have mentioned will IMO, probably Edinburgh, our track is just to damn fair, but its just great to see them competing.

All we need is a couple of meetings where all 7 fire and we will be very hard to beat.

Completely agree.

Think those Rose tinted specs need a polish although it is clear that the team have bonded and battled hard when the chips are down I think if it came down to us against the Monarchs we would need the services of Paul McKenna cause they put a heck on us every time we roll up there. Their not a better team just better at exploiting weaknesses.

It's the most likely scenario, but what would the score have been on Tuesday if Steen had been on form?

We equally capable of a big win at home.

A long shot, I agree, but perfectly possible.

I think given the season we had last year this season is a very good one if you had said at the beginning of the season we would get in the play offs we would all take that; i dont think we will win the league but we can be proud of the teams effort this year and there are a lot of teams who would rather be in our league position i for one are very pleased.

The good thing about the Berwick team is of course strength in numbers and a big high scoring reserve, thats what wins matches normally. I imagine Kus will move up in September but probably Wethers or Bellego at reserve not bad or better still, Jensen.

There is only a fraction of a point between them but at the minute it would be Jensen that goes to reserve, should there be a change. Of course Jensen`s big score on Saturday, and Kus being stuck in Czech, might just help in keeping Kus at reserve for next month, which cant be a bad thing.

Less than Tuesday put it that way, so the stampede to Shielfield after Riga was called off didn't happen though I hear the stampede from Riga to Daugavpils is proving to be quite entertaining, The Latvian GP wasn't the only meeting rained off. Matek Kus`s Czech Pairs meeting was off to, Kus did try to get back to Berwick yesterday but with him in Czech, his van at Luton it was a non-starter. Whether Matej will be called up again should last nights meeting be re-arranged isn't knowing.

Its been mentioned on another thread that Vissing & Kus might be missing for Friday`s trip to Edinburgh.

I was asked to point out on the forum by members of the management, that no team member will be missing this weekend.

I personally didn't see many new faces on Sat, have to take your word for that. In saying that could not have been much more than 500 on Saturday, so if your point is correct a new face only replaces one that has departed,

Or could it be someone was too idle to take them down

A lot to do with the track being prepared to suit our riders, they love it and because of that they are all on a high, I for one am seriously pleased lessons have been learnt.

Did you believe it?

You will have to take your insecurities somewhere else I`m afraid. I was asking a question, the same question that another poster had asked on another thread, as it concerned Berwick I thought we might get the answer on a Berwick thread, which we have, so everything's good again.

This one. ;)

People are sick of it . You cant expect neutrals to be enticed by half a team turning up , i read on another thread that Berwick could be without Vissing and Kus at Overtaking Nirvana next Friday night . We have the same nonsense against Somerset on Sunday with Pijper and Berge missing . Okay Berge has now since broke his wrist , but he would have been at some long track nonsense instead of riding for his team . There's too much of this crap now filtered it's way into the PL schedule , between that and doubling uppers not knowing exactly who they're supposed to be riding for - is it any wonder crowds are dwindling at an alarming rate .

Very sad when this forum is used to spread untrue rumour. Deliberately?

The allegation that Berwick will be short-handed at Edinburgh had no foundation, posting it could only discourage supporters to follow their side up the road on Friday. Repeating it without asking a question (and question that was not) wasn't clever at all.

Nice to see Tourettes stepping in to deny the tale, confirming the Bandits expect to be at full strength.

Like every club, Edinburgh need every spectator they can entice through their turnstiles, and they might have lost a few if the story had taken wings.

In John Campbell's programme column last week, he referred to "our internet friends, some of whom now seem intent on damaging our business here".

If that cap fits....
