Bryce
Hi, I'm bringing a friend to Lakeside tonight who has never been to a live meeting. I have been to this track once before but only stood by the starting tapes. What are people's opinions on the best place to stand at Lakeside for a first timer to pick up the thrill of being at a live meeting? Thanks! The best atmosphere crowd wise is under the ref's box on the home straight. (Where you'll find my son and I leaning on the small fence.) For a taste of sheer speed, you could stand on the back straight stock car track. The barriers there are closer to the racetrack, and the bikes come flying off that 2nd bend at quite a lick. It's very exciting. Looking forward to this one now that the rain is not as bad as predicted. Edited August 8, 2014 by Bryce

Hi kindered, if you want my advice stand on the back straight by the barriers where the riders come out from the pits, you will see everything. Your newbie will really enjoy that. Have a good night.

Trees
Seconded. I know, I want Poole to win, madness But I've accepted Lynn and Poole are in the play-offs, for Coventry to make it then it would be nice for Lakeside to drop a few points just to make it one less team getting in our way.You want Poole to win?? WHY?
SCB
You want Poole to win?? WHY? I actually want Lakeside to lose. The more point Lakeside (plus Eastbourne and Swindon) drop the less Coventry need to score!

Tom Turner
I was going to make the trip after work but I think I might give it a miss, weather sounds a bit too dodgy to waste £50 of petrol on! Starman you hit the nail on the head for Kindered one of the best spots round the track and Kindered enjoy the racing Haha... nail on the head! Gotta love that hammer pun. exocet
So how did that wicked Mr Ford arrange the rain?
marko
As cunning as Matt Ford maybe is, he cant control the weather, speaking of which going by the large amount of rain this evening covering most of the country even if it had not rained this afternoon i doubt this match would have been able to start yet alone get ten heats through, the BBC were not wrong, rain, rain and more rain is the story of the day. Yet I drove him from work mid-afternoon with the roof down and then we had a BBQ this evening. The joys of the UK summer - pouring down ine one place, 100ish miles away it's bloody lovely!
