teaboy279
Shame there is no ellis, and carr which weakens the field any idea why Robert lambert is not riding. Pre meeting favorite has to be oli greenwood although I shall be cheering for harris and Kingston the loudest and Mr entertainment James shanes. If shanes gates in the same time zone as everyone else he will be a contender

cityrebel
Not my cup of tea this meeting, so it's a rare Monday in front of the TV for me tonight. Good luck to those competing and enjoy the racing those that are watching!

Mike.Butler
enjoyed it. looked like a decent crowd considering no kings riders on show...i'd guess about 600-

arnieg
A couple of good races (heats 4 & 9), but far too much of a difference in abilities/experience. Greenwood gated in the crucial heat 4 and was steady under pressure. Jack Kingston was fast and stayed on - a very encouraging performance. Nathan Greaves great effort. Ellis Perks (son of former ref Robbie I believe) looked good and is adapting to British tracks When all four riders ended up in a heap in heat 2 and the first four heats took 30 minutes I wondered if the extra hour would be sufficient - but it was all over by 8.45 (so heats 5-20 took just 75 minutes) When this event was first held (as an under 18 championship) 14 of the 16 participants were NL heat leader standard or better. Last night just Greenwood, Bates & Greaves fitted that description.

Too many foreigners in the PL meaning riders are staying in the NL longer making it harder for the youngsters to break into the sport. oleoleole
Too many youngsters were drafted in to fill the gaps which lead to quite a few mis-matched heats but all the riders tried their best and you can't ask for much more than that. There were a few very good heats and I was particularly impressed by Jack Kingston. I was also very impressed by the Sittingbourne stadium on my first visit. For facilities and viewing it must be one of the best in the country. I hope they can race at a higher level as they are striving to do.
teaboy279
Different opinion than Speedway Updates then as they said 1200+ ??? Our normal attendance hovers around the 1000 person mark. And there were bigger crowds then normal which is where I got the figure of 1200-1300
