MassMarauder
Ha - good to know. This is why Flying Shale had it covered - with the check box designating a D2 Average/Rider. So you can have duplicates of riders.

Nice i only vaguely remember the game, out of interest do you have a copy of Flying Shale that you are able to share? I'm interested to look into the editing options available

I'm interested to look into the editing options available It's still available for purchase from Roogames. http://www.roogames.co.uk/ You need a registration code to use the game. I have already created the 2019 and 2020 season lineups with 2019 final averages. I Only created two leagues. I am happy to share those. It would overwrite the data files that come with the version your purchase - but it wouldn't wipe out the historical data - just add 2019 and 2020 seasons Edited May 26, 2020 by MassMarauder
Marksman
Thanks both i'll give it a go, seems like you can just download the full version from their website here - http://www.roogames.co.uk/newdownloads.htm and it launches into a 3 day evaluation mode Edited May 26, 2020 by Marksman
AndyK86
Got this game running now, thanks for the help. Didn't bother with rider update, great seeing some of old riders you either remember or completely forgot about
Welwyn
Looks like, if you take the fact that some teams DO have more than 7 riders, there are about 19 that need to be replaced for the game to work

The best solution would be to make a Polish Extraliga version Also with the duplicates you have to put a space at the end of one of their record, otherwise when you sign one of them, the other also gets signed! i.e. the two records have to look like this; "Sam Masters" Sam Masters " I can only find one Todd Kurtz in the database but the rest of those all track. Here's my plan of what I am going to attempt (where it says delete club it means delete the version of that rider at that club) Adam Ellis Delete Poole Andres Rowe Delete Swindon Ashley Morris Delete Sheffield Replace With Emil Grondal Broc Nicol Delete Wolves Replace With Max Ruml Cameron Heeps Delete Ipswich Charles Wright Delete Belle Vue Replace With Kai Huckenbeck Chris Harris Delete Peterborough Craig Cook Delete Kings Lynn Danny King Delete Poole Drew Kemp Delete Ipswich Replace With Joe Jacobs Ellis Perks Delete Swindon Erik Riss Delete Kings Lynn Replace With Mads Korneliussen Jake Allen Delete Ipswich Replace With Daniel Davidsson Jordan Stewart Delete Swindon Jye Etheridge Delete Berwick (switch club 1 for 2) Kyle Howarth Delete Leicester (switch club 16 for 14) Lewis Kerr Delete Kings Lynn Replace With Kevin Wolbert Luke Becker Delete Wolves Replace With Tai Woffinden Michael Palm Toft Delete Peterborough Replace With Peter Ljung Nick Morris Delete Wolves Replace With Joel Kling Nico Covatti Delete Ipswich Replace With Oliver Berntzon Richard Lawson Delete Sheffield Replace With Linus Sundstrom Rory Schlein Delete Wolves Replace With Fredrik Lindgren Ryan Douglas Delete Wolves Replace With Nathan Greaves Sam Masters Delete Wolves Replace With Ryan Fisher Scott Nicholls Delete Peterborough Replace With Lasse Bjerre Steve Worrall Delete Poole Thomas Jorgensen Delete Scunthorpe Replace With Stuart Robson (switch club 5 for 22) Ty Proctor Replace Kings Lynn Replace With Matej Kus Ulrich Ostergaard Replace Peterborough Replace With Gino Manzaries Edited May 27, 2020 by Welwyn

Will just have to add some more riders to replace the ones taken out of the Unattached, Retired and Foreign lists. There are already a few spare ones in those tabs, but need a minimum of the below ammount for the game not to crash; Unattached 56 Foreign 30 Retired
Marksman
@Welwyn Looking at the numbers including the spares that leaves only 10 to add to the 'Retired' List and 2 to to the 'Unattached' list Edited May 27, 2020 by Marksman

Download Winevdm latest version here - https://github.com/otya128/winevdm/releases and unzip the file, 2. Download Visual C++ here - https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/confirmation.aspx?id=52685 although you more than likely have this already if so skip this 3. Unzipped speedway promoter files then copied these into a GDW2002 folder under windows folder so you have this directory - C:\Windows\GDW2002 4. Once you have done the above run > otvdmw.exe from the folder you unzipped in step 1, then you will be prompted to open an exe file which will be the speedway promoter exe in GDW2002 folder. It may look like the mouse pointer is constantly loading but that's fine from what I have seen so far Would this work better for any of you? @Marksman @MassMarauder If there's any issues try leave the speedway promoter folder on desktop then run otvdmw.exe then when the box pops up then open SPE2002.EXE Just done a quick video showing the steps I've mentioned and what it should look like working https://youtu.be/s9LftM8ZsMw Failing miserably with step 3...where are the ...'Unzipped speedway promoter files'? Sp33dy89
@Marksman have you by any chance come across the part of the code which will enable a rider to show up in game/be active on lists or even transfer/loan listed
Welwyn
Here's a list of riders that I have thought of possibly. Any thoughts on any others or averages? MassMarauder
There are quite a few riders who are not listed on this years named 7 for Championship teams - but rode in the championship last season when doubling up from the National Development League. They have Championship averages.

Denmark = 4 etc. Second number I think determines wether the rider is listed for loan or to buy 1 = Loan, 0= Transfer (Also seen 2 appear here a couple of times) Other numbers you'll probably know already like 4th = Age, 5th = Price to buy. Followed by the averages.. I was able to place a 4 in the 4th number from the end and a 1 in the second number on everyone, and they all appeared in the 'Retired' list! All the 40+ random riders appear in order from Row 986 down, you can remove them from the game easily enough too.
TheSmiler
Didn't realise this was my thread from years ago! Amazing to see the progress being made. I'd love to give it a go, but I don't have the game and would need to get it on Windows 10, could anybody point me in the right direction of the actual 'Speedway Promoter' file so I can get that downloaded and try the other links to get it working. Much appreciated!
