robert72
Best meeting by far & a great home win, a draw would of been a fair result IMO. Great effort from both teams. Track is still clearly a problem as seen last night even though there were a few passes.
arnieg
What did he say? Norrie made an uncomplimentary reference to PPs absence, and said he would be interested to see if he rode in Poland today.
racers and royals
Norrie made an uncomplimentary reference to PPs absence, and said he would be interested to see if he rode in Poland today. As I have just posted on the Polish thread-he appears to have made a quick recovery and is indeed riding for Leszno.
weatherwatcher
Still a good win for the Lions. I am afraid I missid this home meeting as I was ill so could not go. Funny how PK managed to score so well this time when he made such a poor show of things when he guested for the Lions last time he rode here. As someone said it must be the Blood that does it. R87
As I have just posted on the Polish thread-he appears to have made a quick recovery and is indeed riding for Leszno. What a surprise. Pawlicki happy to stick 2 fingers up at us again, hopefully we'll do the same in the close season.

shadowfax
Just a question in what other sport would allow the match referee to officiate a match involving a relative?

jim the whipper
Another Decent meeting after a thunderstorm . there has to be something to learn from that . looks like the drainage is too good or the base has not been laid properly . TMW
Norrie team manager / Ronnie refereeAnd? Does he not have any proffesional integrity? Not many questionable decisions. Are there any conflict of interest incidents in other aports? Edited August 10, 2014 by TMW

As I have just posted on the Polish thread-he appears to have made a quick recovery and is indeed riding for Leszno. As i have already stated. Didnt believe for one minute he was `ill` and would ride for his Polish club. In fairness to Piotr he has only missed 3 meetings. What a surprise. Pawlicki happy to stick 2 fingers up at us again, hopefully we'll do the same in the close season. Well thank god for him this season , he has been one of 2 highlights. The other being the progress of Jacob.

In fairness to Piotr he has only missed 3 meetings. The fact remains he won't ride for Wolves in any of our Saturday night meetings this year. The "sick note " farce from Saturday shows he has no respect for Wolves or their fans, nor British Speedway. It is impossible for anyone to defend such actions - he has undone in one act all the good he has achieved over the year. Wolfie It doesn't surprise me he has missed Saturday meetings - lots of Poles have and will continue to do so. I fully understand the situation the younger Polish riders are in with their home nation so it comes as no surprise. The only surprise however was from our promotion using the old `sick note` routine.

Wolfie Do you honestly believe it was his own choice, or that indeed he had any control over it? Young polish riders are at the beck and call of their 'owners' in Poland. You sign them at your peril.

dump that clutch
i can't believe you're having a pop at the only plus in the team this year... like BWitcher has said, we know the rules regarding Poles... it's been stated on here he's missed 3 matches for you... if he was at Swindon and missed the 3 matches all year then i'd have been well chuffed.. massive talent and will be a top dog before long.
BWitcher
I thought cvs had a doctors note for him ? Easily obtained. The polish teams will insist their riders are there for practice. I'm quite sure we were fully aware of that fact when we signed him.
